Just wanted to take a moment and share my experience with Wolf (the longer-haired gentleman that is in charge of the shoe restoration service at centrl sply), as I was honestly quite wow-ed by what he did. At the time of this review, he's already worked on 3 different individual projects I was very satisfied with
Honest- he was very clear with me on expectations. With shoe restoration, and in some cases, there's just no way to expect that some things can be completely returned to original condition. Wolf took the time and explained his thought process and I definitely got the comfort I needed to trust him with the premium shoes I was handing him (2 pairs of offwhites known for their yellowing and a pair of original foams from the 90s)
Timing- my project took 2 weeks. Ended up being 3 weeks but Wolf gave me a call mid-way and let me know of the circumstance. I thought it was nice that he would do that
Extra- this is how he's different from the rest...
There was this particular stain that would not come off. Then he took the time and showed how he looked into restoration group forums and found a few suggested, experimental methods (more risky) and proposed them to me and can proceed if I was comfortable with it. At this point, whether they worked out or not, I just fully appreciate how someone is willing to take the time to look outside his normal scope of work to learn, propose and execute on methods he hasn't tried before. This, to me, is why I don't have to look anywhere else now. Wolf is my guy.
Just figure I share my experience so the rest of Houston know how lucky that we've got a guy that is pretty much a complete package when it comes to shoe...
Read moreThis is my second review, terrible service from the male associate who is the buyer there, Adil or Adel? , this was my 2nd time coming in inquiring about selling some specific products. The first time i held off on his offer and this time i came back asking if he could do $10 more or even just match his previous offer, i asked very normally and politely. He then proceeds to respond “bro you’ve been shopping this around to everyone, all of houston” in a condescending tone. i wasn’t sure how what he said was relevant to me coming in trying to get the previous offer he had given me and even then just passing on my items is fine as well.
i then proceeded to browse the shop and just asked him out if curiosity what he would offer if he couldn’t even match his previous offer on my items and inquired about selling other items and he answers with sarcasm and condescension saying “$0” and “for you, nothing, $10”
again passing on my items is fine, i’m just not sure what warranted his attitude when i spoke very normal and this was only my second time ever talking to him(the first time being just this monday) and about these items. very weird and off...
Read moreI have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Centrl. They have a wide variety of shoes and apparel that’ll make even the most conservative dressers and the most savvy of sneaker heads very impressed. The staff is very passionate and have a keen eye and knowledge of things from the most basic of descriptions you’ll give them but they also give you your space making the overall experience not overbearing. My favorite part about the place (besides the shoes) is the innovation of sales process. There’s a barcode underneath each sneaker is which in seconds give you the price, showing which sizes are in stock. Overall, I can’t remember the last time I was excited to get shoes! I highly recommend Centrl Spry to anyone not just “sneaker heads”. So, if you’re close by (or even if you’re not) come on by and give it a shot you...
