[ ] If I could give zero stars I definitely would. This was by far the worst brunch experience I have ever had. I have viewed this place on instagram and thought it would be something cute and different over the normal brunch places. I chose to visit this place on a weekend that a friend was coming to town. I made one r reservation for 12:30pm on 10/29/2022. We arrived for our reservation a few minutes earlier but their doors were open wide for entry. When we walked into the establishment, which looked just like a bar and not an actual place to eat brunch. We noticed that there was as a lot going on. We approached the bar and someone stated that they are cleaning up from a event that just ended and that they would seat us shortly. So I went to the restroom while my friend waited for our table. The restroom was pretty clean, which is always a plus. I left the restroom and located the table where my friend was seated. We looked over the menu and noticed that there were many brunch items and menu was very limited. My friend ordered the mimosa set up “From Paris, with love”. We were told it was a whole bottle of champagne and also shareable but it definitely wasn’t as not shareable and not a full bottle of champagne. The champagne tasted horrible but It was cute so whatever. While waiting, my friend and I noticed that they were setting up for another big party and our waitress “Deborah” was basically the only server and bartender, which was weird. So she came to our table and we both ordered, PaDDy's Pancake Tacos, which were 2 buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, side of maple syrup and hot sauce. But we wanted it set up like a traditional breakfast plate, meaning everything on the side and not inside of the pancakes like a taco. My friends eggs were to be scrambled and mine over hard. Our waitress Deborah stated that it was okay to have it that way. So time has passed and our food has arrived. It all looked just “okay”, nothing extravagant or appealing. My eggs were super runny and actually still raw, they seasoned everything with black pepper which is horrible but we still tried it. The bacon was ok and actually the most edible food on our plates. The eggs tasted very bad, pancakes were as hard as a rock and also pretty cold. We literally did not eat anything on our plates besides the bacon. I needed to eat something being that I have not eaten so I sent my eggs back to be remade and my friend did not want anything remade because at this point she was just ready to finish her mimosa set up and go somewhere else to eat. A manager never came to the table or anything. So my “new” eggs came back to the table and they were even worse than the 1st eggs and still not edible. Deborah stated that they did not know how to make over hard eggs and that the bar didn’t have a kitchen of their own and was being shared with the sushi spot next door. Deborah was very nice and I could tell she was busy and did everything herself with zero assistance, which is unfortunate. We asked for our check and left. We will never be back. This place should just stick to being a bar and not serve any food whatsoever. This was by far the worst experience and their social media does not equal to their...
Read moreUpdate: Your investigation is full of misleading statements and outright falsehoods. The bartender and her boyfriend took my girlfriend -- who was already clearly intoxicated -- into the women's restroom, where they stayed for over 30 minutes. Concerned for her safety, I checked the men's restroom for the bartender's boyfriend, but he wasn't there. That's when I realized all three of them were inside the women's restroom. I want to make it absolutely clear that I never entered -- I waited outside, anxious and alarmed. You can check your cameras for that.
After witnessing that disturbing behavior, I chose to leave. Before doing so, I paid my portion of the bill -- $80 via Zelle -- for my three beers (each $6.50) and one fish & chips ($22). My girlfriend ordered fish tacos ($15) and an Espresso Martini ($17). However, the total bill came out to $237 -- which means she was served approximately 10 to 11 Espresso Martinis, despite already being visibly drunk.
That level of overservice is not only reckless -- it's dangerous. This isn't just poor judgment; it's a serious violation of responsible alcohol service. And instead of offering help or accountability, the bartender and her boyfriend took my intoxicated girlfriend to their private residence, which is completely inappropriate and raises even more serious concerns.
I followed up the next day to seek an explanation and was met with dismissive, dishonest, and nonsensical responses. This establishment showed no responsibility for what happened.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and taking further action. Overserving a clearly intoxicated person to this degree, then removing her from the premises, is unacceptable and potentially criminal. Shame on this business for putting a vulnerable person at risk and then trying to cover it up.
Original Review: Avoid this place if you’re on a date or bringing your partner along. The bartender here seems to have little regard for boundaries and may take advantage of you or your partner, especially if you’re intoxicated. Shockingly, they served six or seven strong alcoholic drinks to someone who was already clearly drunk, showing a complete lack of responsibility and concern for their...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, unfortunately I did not.
We went in for brunch on a Sunday at 11. It started off by us going in the door and standing behind another group that was waiting. We weren't sure if we should just seat ourselves or had to wait to be seated. After about 3-5 mins of standing there someone finally said to just sit anywhere.
After we were at the table it was at least 5-10 mins before someone came over and brought us water, not our waitress though. Then another 10 minutes before she came over and handed us menus and immediately left. By this time we had already gone on the website and viewed the menu. Once she finally came over after another 10 minutes we finally ordered drinks and food to ensure we might get it in a timely manner.
We ordered the mimosas because of the cute picture of the glasses with ducks. Bad decision. Not sure what bubbly they used but it tasted horrible. The food took a good 20-30 minutes to come out after the mimosas were brought out. We had to ask for silverware because they didn't give us any. We then received only forks. We asked for knives and only 1 was brought to the person who asked for it. I ordered the confetti pancakes and they looked pretty but were absolutely tasteless. It's really hard to mess up pancakes.
It seemed that they were short staffed but our waitress who seemed to also be filling in as a bartender was unpleasant and pretty unattentive from the moment she came to our table until we left.
They need better wait staff. Understand that if a group comes in and orders food they need utensils to eat with. Last but not least try to be pleasant. That could have gone a long way.
I will not be returning again even though the place had a...
