I have been shopping at this store ever since they opened and it is one of the best stores I have visited in my entire time in the USA. The thing that I admire the most about this place is the hospitality and behavior of the entire team (by now I have interacted with everyone and they are all superb, so I am not picking names). They remind me of the traditional shopping experience back in India where we visit our trusted stores, catch up with the team for sometime, get some tea and coffee, discuss about the specific items we are looking for, check out their options, and finally pick up the items we love. Tanishq Houston essentially offers this experience end to end and the team makes sure they outperform at each step. Of course, they have a lovely and diverse collection, but I am not going to comment on the display because in most cases, their team found me something from inside (not on display) to match my description of what I was looking for. The team here is also quick to understand what we want and puts a lot of effort to show us specific designs that truly match our expectations/requirements (often this includes things that are not directly on display or are items that have just arrived). They are very patient when it comes to customers being confused between multiple pieces- I have been in such cases. Most importantly, when I was bored of trying multiple items and multiple times, they told me to pause and retry after a few minutes. They never rush into selling a product or push for more expensive items. Instead, they are more into offering an experience where we are genuinely happy with our purchase. I saw this store passing by and became curious. My Desi friend was wearing some beautiful earrings and I asked where she got them, she said Tanishq, but back in India. I went to this Tanishq because of her recommendation. The store is so beautiful, the people who work there are very kind and not pushy at all. This is my first time shopping at a Indian jewelry store and it was an amazing experience. The prices are very fair and transparent, especially compared to American brands. I bought a lovely pair of 22kt hoops for my mom (which she adored). Before I even handed them my card, they showed me the price break down, which included the cost of gold (which is very close to the current market price) and making charges (which was about 25% of the total cost of gold). Then they weighed the earrings in front of me to make sure I was getting the amount I was paying for. I'm not used to this level of transparency, most American brands will upcharge you over 200% and you will rarely find jewelry over 18kt. If you have never experienced an Indian jewelery store before, I think Tanishq would be a good place for your first time.
