I found Cutthroat a few months ago and they had been my go to place for a haircut. Unfortunately, today I did not receive the experience that I have gotten every time I’ve been there. Booked my appt for 6PM with Hannah, which was apparently her last appointment of the day. I was driving from San Antonio that day and realized I would be 15 minutes late due to unexpected traffic, so I called roughly 2 hours in advance to ask if the haircut could be pushed back by 15 minutes or if I should cancel. I was expecting to have to cancel due to the 30 minute slots, but I was told that pushing it to 6:15 would actually be okay. The man I spoke to on the phone said that if that were to change, he would call me and let me know if it wouldn’t work. I got there as expected at 6:15 exactly, and was told to wait a minute so the person at the front could tell Hannah I had arrived. I watched her peek over and she shook her head, and then the guy at the front came back and said that she actually can’t cut my hair because she was busy and he apologized that he didn’t call me to let me know, and asked if I wanted to reschedule for tomorrow. I totally understand that people have things to do, which is why I called 2 hours ahead once I realized I could be running late. It was just annoying to drive out of the way to the shop for absolutely no reason at all. I would’ve understood if I had received a phone call saying that she actually wasn’t available, and I would’ve rebooked. I think I may try other places in the area now.
EDIT: Cutthroat reached out to me to make the situation right, so I’m raising the stars on...

Read moreOverall haircut was ok, nothing great, was really underwhelmed. I came to this location many years ago once and had a haircut that I truly loved and then came again and got the worst experience didn’t return after that. I came back this past weekend to give another chance. Wasn’t offered anything upon entering like the other clients, nor was I treated like a new client to get a new fresh experience. Enrique cut my hair. He was super friendly and a great conversationalist overall. However, his fade and cutting skills were truly underwhelming, especially for the price. My beard was left drastically uneven on one side. On the other side he had cut into my sideburn and left it clearly uneven. The other part of my hair on the side was left really uneven. He should use more shaving cream as my face was irritated afterwards. I felt really rushed towards the end and did not have time to truly check my hair (also it’s a bit dark in the barbershop, so hard to see. Overall the barber was really nice so I guess it made up for it, however the haircut was truly terrible. I’m unsure if I’ll...
