I recently moved out of an apartment in Trump Plaza Residences in Jersey City, and greatly regretted the decision to live here. I was initially blown away by the luxurious amenities and stunning views of New York City. My favorite thing about the building was the pool, which I used throughout the summer and loved the indoor hot tub and sauna. However, the experience of actually living here was anything but luxurious. Frequent problems with the elevators would often result in my missing the train. I often heard sounds from the neighbors (both from above me-e.g., things dropping on the floor and a baby or toddler crying, and below me-e.g., a barking dog). We have lived here for almost two years and CONSTANTLY hear noise from the apartment above ours (loud tapping, banging, stomping, yelling). We have two young children and the constant noise makes it very stressful for getting them down for naps and bedtime because the noise usually does not stop until 10:30-11:00pm. Excellent luxury building to live in. The residents are very diverse and friendly. Once the staff members get to know you they are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to hlep you.
