I would leave zero stars if I could. This place is a disgrace to the community. Horrible customer service, mixed messaging and extremely unaccommodating. I will never return to this location or any other. Tremendously disappointing experience. Do better, Glowbar. Everyone reading this review - DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION IF YOU WANT A QUALITY SERVICE AND PRODUCT
Details:
Here are several examples that led me to canceling my membership: (1) I signed up to be a founding member several months before they opened and was promptly scammed out of my first treatment (was not properly notified that the location was open and ready to accept reservations) - I paid upfront for the first month and then missed the first month because I wasnât made aware or reminded that it was open⌠I accepted this because I wrote off that I could have paid closer attention to social media, but itâs a bad start with a recurring customer⌠(2) My third month (albeit second treatment), I arrived 3 minutes late and was told that as a result my treatment would be âcut shortâ - I was extremely disappointed but again tolerated it because I was technically late. Important to note that I brought my puppy with me, for whom I have an ESA license. The esthetician loved my puppy and told me that sheâs welcome back any time and encouraged me to schedule her again and being the puppy. (3) I arrive for my 4th month 5 minutes early, with my pup (as requested), and upon washing my face I was told that I needed to leave because I had my puppy with me. I politely apologized expressing that the last time I was there the esthetician asked me to bring her back the next time and that I hadnât received any communication from Glowbar to the contrary⌠I was told that âshe was smaller then so we were happy to make an exceptionâ - first of all my baby girl is 3 pounds, she was 2.5 pounds the month before. I was told that even though I had an ESA license that I couldnât stay. This was the last straw for me. This place is disgusting in how they treat customers - I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully by an establishment to whom I am paying recurring fees. Itâs no way to run a business, and if others are experiencing similar treatment I wonât be surprised when this borderline fraud theyâre perpetrating in our community inevitably goes out of business.

Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Glow Bar today. When I walked in earlier to book, I was told my two appointments were scheduled for 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Based on that, I planned my evening and arrived accordingly. However, when I got there, I was told both appointments had actually been rescheduled to 7:20 PM â and this change was made without any confirmation or communication from my side.giving a benefit of doubt I understand if we had one miss communication for one of the appointment the 7:30- 7:20 one ( but I def remember I was offered 8:00 pm )
The front desk said I had missed the 10-minute grace period and could no longer be accommodated. I explained that there must have been a miscommunication since I was told 8:00 PM, and that Iâd rather cancel than reschedule. Then they offered to âtry to accommodateâ me â but after starting the service, it was cut short to around 15 minutes without letting me know in advance that it would be shortened.
I ended up paying around $170 for what was supposed to be a full service but turned into a rushed 15-minute session. If I had been informed of the time change or the shortened session, I would have canceled instead.
The experience felt very poorly managed â with no clear communication, no confirmation of the rescheduled time, and no transparency about what I was actually receiving for my payment.
I left feeling disappointed and honestly cheated. I hope Glow Bar reviews its booking process and ensures that customers are properly notified and confirmed before changing appointment times...
Read moreI am a Glowbar member for over a year and I find it to be quality skincare for the best price around me. While it is not a luxurious spa escape (no mood lighting, blankets/pillows, aroma therapy or massage), Glowbar is both a great value and convenient for quality skincare. After getting regular facials, I definitely noticed that my skin is overall clearer, smoother, and much better overall texture. I love my little monthly self care routine.
The staff at Glowbar is friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Glowbar is a great value because for $65 (plus tip) a month, you get an all inclusive facial that is tailored to what your skin needs that day. Your membership also spans across all locations (with no extra charges), so I can either go right after work or at a different location near my home. You can also book with the same esthetician, or prioritize the time slot you need for your schedule. I appreciate that I can fit in a self care moment that works for my schedule.
My only suggestion would be that I would love if GlowBar locations simply offered water to their clients. Across the 4 locations I have been to (Union Sq, Tribeca, Hoboken, & JC) the there are basically no amenities offered to clients other than hair ties at...
