Karma Floral & Event Design — Local services in Jersey City

This is my first time writing a review in part because I’ve not felt inspired to do so. My husband and I wed this past June 2018 and found Kristyn/Karma Flowers by happenstance. We had contracted with another florist, who made the tough decision to close her business in January 2018. This florist referred us to Karma Flowers and two others. After reviewing the websites and communicating with the three florists, we knew Karma Flowers was for us. Their floral designs are unique and beautiful. The owner of Karma Flowers, Kristyn, additionally made our decision easy. Kristyn has a calm, pleasant, and accommodating demeanor; she understood our stress and concern that we were contracting with a new florist five months before our wedding. She went over and beyond to ensure our wedding day was a success. She traveled with us to the flower market and spent hours with us to ensure she understood what we wanted in flowers and other design aspects. At meetings between our wedding planner, venue, and other contractors, she even diplomatically stepped in to guide discussions and to ponder logistical concerns others had not considered. When our wedding day came (and went way too fast), our floral arrangements were perfect! Our guests commented on the rare and beautiful flowers she found within our budget and how the minimalist table arrangements reflected the travel theme of our wedding. People also commented on the large arrangements that flanked our ceremony and on our card table. As soon as we connected with Kristyn for an intro call, we knew we had to book Karma Floral & Event Design for our October Battello wedding. Kristyn immediately understood our vision and sent us a mood board that was spot on. She worked closely with us on our proposal and walked us through everything to ensure we were more than happy with the design choices for our wedding day. As we got closer to our big day we took another call with Kristyn to confirm last minute details and put the final touches on the design decisions we made. She was super flexible with us to schedule a mock-up of my bouquet and our tablescapes, and even shifted to sharing photos with us when we unexpectedly couldn’t make our appointment.

In addition to her incredible talent and expertise, she is highly recommended and loved by our venue and other vendor teams and it’s obvious why. She knew exactly what was needed to elevate the already gorgeous interior of Battello and her designs perfectly complemented the existing decor and vibe. Our guests raved about the ambiance and beauty of our ceremony and reception and we owe so much of that to Kristyn and the Karma team. Between the countless candles, cascading greenery, twinkle lights framing the room and gorgeous floral tablescapes, our room felt luxe yet cozy and timeless.

I’m so overjoyed with the flowers and installations that Karma designed for our wedding day! Kristyn at Karma is casual, fun, so professional, and will delivery exactly what you are looking for! She won’t miss any of the fine details and will make sure that everything you’re wanting for your wedding day is taken care of by meeting at your venue for walk-throughs, checking in via email, scheduling calls to review the contract/invoice, and taking care of the logistics planning behind the scenes with her incredible team. Karma sources all flowers locally and will create any kind of style, installation, or arrangement you’re looking for! We provided inspo via Pinterest and Kristyn knew right away what we wanted and put all of the details together for us by sharing her vision in a mood board. For our wedding we had center pieces, an altar installation, flowers on a backdrop frame for a photo booth and additional bud vases and center pieces throughout our venue (bar, high top tables, lanterns at the bottom of our signage installs, etc.) and I couldn’t have dreamed it up better myself.
