Prime Food Market — Local services in Jersey City

I am a regular customer at this shop, although it takes $40 two way trip, I come here to pick up snacks and groceries almost monthly.

Last time I bought fresh chickoo fruits, shopkeeper said they will ripe and ready to eat in few days. Spent $4 for 2 chickoos. Which did not ripe.

When I asked to refund it during my next visit, they said no one complained about it, how are they supposed to give refund after 2-3 weeks. I should have brought the fruits to them as soon as I found out.

But then how I'm supposed to take $40 cab trip to return it in their timeline??

Very disappointing. Being only place nearby to provide with Indian groceries, they are taking advantage of their customers. Pick up packaged stuff, better stay away from fresh produce from this place. Unless you want to...

I have been going to this place for over three years now even though the guy at the register is & has always been very very rude (I lived with this only cus food is good).

They recently messed up an order without onion garlic and when I called to complaint, the first thing I hear from the guy at the register is that 'I am not the one making things'. Then when I said do I need to call the cook separately when placing an order, he changed his mind and says ' I said I was not in the store n someone else took it'. Then when I raised my tone he suddenly started talking in a soft tone calling me Dada(big brother) and the only thing he had to say was I tell the guy who took the order. If you ask me it was a blatant lie and I am pretty sure he took the order.

And I am not...

I had a horrible experience today. The 2 butternans were burnt beyond the point they can be eaten. When I went to get replacement, both cook and cashier got very aggressive and started refusing the the naans were not burnt. The cashier has a the attitude problem and often found doing such unpleasant things with my friends as well. I don't know his name, he was attending the register at 1:40pm on 10/11/2014. When I asked to speak with the manager, he said he's the manager and continued to talk with me in rude manner.

This is such a unpleasant experience and will definitely discourage me and my friends in avoiding Pirme Food Market, Jersey City in future. There is no attachment facility, otherwise I wanted to show the burnt naans, which I anyway going to share on other...
