Gretchen Scott — Local services in Jupiter

All birthdays are special but when you turn 89 years young, well that is a real accomplishment. Gretchen Scott's fashion is a favorite of my mother-in-law and as a treat for her, my husband and I took her to choose some outfits for her special day. I called ahead to let the store know our plan and to ask if they would make her feel extra special during her visit by wishing her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Well, I was so unprepared for what this very special place did. We were met at the door by Kyra! (who by the way is any employer's dream associate) Kyra immediately greeted us with a big smile, called my mother-in-law by name and wished her a very special birthday. With patience, professionalism and expert knowledge Kyra began pulling dresses and outfits that would be appropriate for my mother-in-law. She helped her try on and model all the items and patiently waited for her to make her decision of three beautiful new outfits. Kyra carefully wrapped each and then handed my mother-in-law a personalized card and small bouquet of flowers for her birthday that had been obviously, purchased prior to our visit! The kindness, care and customer service received on this very special day by Kyra and the Gretchen Scott Jupiter Store team is far beyond what most businesses provide these days. Kyra is a diamond among employees in our eyes and completed our effort to make my mother-in-laws day special. It took me a while to write this review as it really stung. I went in a few months ago to redeem a gift certificate I had won at a Breast Cancer charity event, my daughter was shopping with me and I was immediately drawn to the lovely designs. I was excited to shop. I picked out a L and XL top to buy- both of which I could see would fit me perfectly ( and they do). I decided however to purchase more tops, above and beyond the gift certificate and was struggling to find sizes. When I approached the sales lady for the same sizes in an other designs ( L and XL) she gave me a quick haughty once over and then dismissed me with " we only have limited goddess items". And then she walked away. The way this made me feel dismissed and diminished was incredible. First, I was NOT asking for GODDESS, just L and XL, and second she made it quite clear to me that ladies my size ( 12-14) were not welcome. All thoughts of shopping there again were dismissed. We stopped in today and new manager was quick to introduce herself and offer help. Super nice atmosphere with a person ready to help you find what you need.
