We were charged $22 for a $12 purchase and given less change back, making the total cost $32 for a $12 purchase. After realizing we were charged too much and didn’t even get the correct change back, we came back a few minutes later to the employee who overcharged us. We were gaslighted in front of other customers as if they didn’t remember the slight until they gave us $20 and walked off. No apology or admittance of being grossly overcharged. There were other disturbing things about this encounter that really bothered us as well. It’s one thing if this was an accident, but this certainly was not.
