went today to go purchase a few things and usually don’t buy on clearance stuff. So when purchasing 2 items in that section, it says “buy one get one free” and had also bought another non clearance item to use my $20 off cash. When purchasing the cashier “Jose” did not disclose the policy when cashing me out that the system would NOT be able to do BOTH “buy one get one free” and also be able to do the “$20 off”, like all the other stores that disclose that before finalizing the purchases to the customer to make sure it’s okay. So when paying and looking back, thinking that he had taken the item for free since we had TWO clearance items, therefore I got nothing for free and ended up paying more in the end because it only took off $20 of my purchase using the cash I had in points. I basically could have just made two different purchases so I could have not wasted more than I should have and still got a free item. But Jose did not communicate that and told us that unfortunately we would not be able to return anything of the clearance items cause it’s all final sale for clearances and said we ultimately still got a good deal in the end. when confronted about it, acted like it was our fault when the cashier should have communicated before everything that the TWO rules would not be able to used at the same time and also did not apologize for basically making me us waste more money.
