A good restaurant on the surface, but frankly the prices could be obscene, bordering on contemptible. I saw that they were charging almost $9 for a bowl of strawberries. I understand that service, maintenance and other factors go into why food from a restaurant will cost more than at the store, but this is just a simple bowl of strawberries with no special preparation. If the price is hiked up because strawberries are a key ingredient to some of their cheesecakes, and therefore the risk of not being able to sell those cakes without them makes it so that it is only worth it to sell them at an exorbitant price, I recommend removing that item from the menu, because frankly, it looks bad. It looks to me like they might just be trying to make a quick buck from people who don't read the menu price. Maybe not, but it looks bad. That's what I meant by "contemptible".
It's not just strawberries that I didn't order which stuck out. Another from our table ordered chicken, but complained that the portion was too small, implying that the wings looked like they came from recently hatched chicks and that there was no way it amounted to one thousand calories. I do not know if that is really the case but with that said, they brought out more for him and the staff was very professional and friendly throughout the evening. The strawberries were one particularly outragous example of high prices but I found it difficult to find anything which seemed reasonable. When I did find something, I liked it well enough. They really are staking everything on their cheesecake. I had a couple slices and just that small amount was extremely full and flavorful.
I can't recommend The Cheescake Factory until they get their prices under control. Not everything needs to come down in price, some of the high numbers were justified but not enough of them. I will repeat this point for emphasis: a single bowl of strawberries was almost $9 (It was $8.90...
Read moreOne of the worst cheesecake factories I’ve ever been too. We sat outside and no one was there. Despite having no customers so early in the day our table had white fluffy fuzz all over it and floors were dirty. Seemed like the fuzz was falling from the ceiling or the outdoor heater over our head. Silverware was dirty, a big chunk of spinach was stuck to my fork. Just gross. Despite all this we ordered… food wasn’t any better. Factory chopped Salad dressing was totally off with too much vinegar. I asked for miso salmon well done and specifically asked that it be cooked well all the way through. They brought my salmon completely raw. I asked them to remake it. Meanwhile the manager came out and said they would rectify it. Waited over 45 min for the second salmon which surprise surprise came out undercooked again. At this point I was just so frustrated I wanted to leave. Not to mention during this whole ordeal a guest brought her big dog inside the patio area of the restaurant and all the staff were playing with this dog except for our waiter. Petting the dog, letting the dog climb on their aprons/clothes and then going on to serve other guests without washing their hands. Disgusting. I finally got my bill and to my surprise was charged for my Diet Coke which was more than half full because I didn’t have a meal to drink it with and our salad. I said I’m sorry I’m not one to complain but do I really owe something after wasting over 1 hour of our holiday for a lunch I never got? The manager never came out to talk to us again. Never asked if I wanted something else. Never offered a free cheesecake.. nothing! I have to say during this entire time our waiter was so kind and so apologetic. He was the only positive part of our experience. This location needs a management...
Read moreI was super disappointed. It was my birthday and we were going to order dessert but after the frozen lunch we received first and under cooked chicken we just paid the 40 dollar bill for 2 salads and half a weird shaped sandwich and a cup of soup. I ordered bbq chicken salad the chicken was still frozen on my plate ice cold honestly I could cool my water with it. It looks nothing like the picture online, it was sloppily put together the chicken wasn’t even diced in cubes and the waiter proceeded to give it to us that way. My Family member who is with me got the Renee special with the soup and salad the soup had no broth in it it was literally just the chunks of vegetables and tortilla strips it was very Dissatisfying and extremely expensive for the quality of food. I have been going to cheesecake factory for decades and lately in the last three years quality and service have gone way down and it’s not worth the amount of money they charge I actually did not eat my salad, I took it to go only to trash it and ate at the food court mall food and was more satisfied with that. the waiter looks so uninterested to take care of us I didn’t even care to tell him about how horrible the salad was but he saw it on my face and in my demeanor. I was going to order dessert and coffee for me and my family member but after the horrible lunch we just paid the check and left I will not be returning to this cheesecake factory and the one in Memorial is dropping the ball as well. Katy mills location has been only open for about a month maybe a little bit longer and they’re already dropping the ball it’s ridiculous we will not be returning either with my family. I will be going to Las Centera for all my lunch outings...
