Ordered a suit online that was supposed to arrive in 3 to 5 business days when I got an email Monday morning saying their were delays in servicing and it wouldn't be shipped till the end of the week. So I went in to Men's Wearhouse looking for a replacement jacket and was greeted by one of the workers who was with another customer. He said someone will be with me shortly. I said no problem and started looking for the jacket I had in mind. I made my way through the south and most of the west wall of suits when one of the employees asked what I was looking for. I told him I was looking for a navy or midnight blue jacket with a different colored lapel preferably black. He said oh, we don't have any of those but I can check online. I said ok. As I started walking to the counter along the West wall, I saw the exact jacket hanging up but in red with a black lapel. I pointed to it and said this is the jacket I'm looking for just in navy or midnight blue. He looked at it and continued to walk to the front desk. Grabbed a tablet and started looking at the jackets online. After a few minutes he showed me their webpage and said these are all the Navy blue jackets we have and it will take us 1 week to get them here. I said well, none of those look like that one you have hanging up and I would need it by Thursday at the latest (3 days later). He said sorry, we don't have anything like that in the store. So, after feeling like I was being brushed off, I turn to exit and I see the EXACT jacket on a mannequin on the East wall. I pointed and asked That's the jacket, can I buy that one? As I started walking towards the jacket, he started helping someone else. I waited a few minutes thinking he was just answering a quick question and he never came over. Just ignored me like I was bothering him. Another female employee standing 10 ft away from me who had just finished helping two other gentlemen, that were now leaving the store, looked at me standing there next to the jacket and walked off. Didn't ask if she could help or even care if I was being helped. So I left and after having such disrespectful service (if you can even call it service) I will never go back to that store and recommend everyone to avoid...

For my wedding, my fiancée and I went in and stood there for a price check and we waiting to be helped for 10 minutes. There was only one person on the floor and they were busy so we did not think twice about it. After walking around, we found another employee behind the counter just sitting on their phone in a sneaky way. I asked the employee if they could help me. The employee looked up and gave my fiancée and I a look as if we were bothering them. I asked where the dress pants might be. They pointed to the other end of the store and stayed there. After asking the employee if they could show me, they sighed and got up and showed me. I asked how much and they told me $45. I was confused and I asked if the prices went up since I got pants from them for my brothers wedding a few months before and they were less then that. I was just genuinely curious and the employee shrugged and said “I don’t know what to tell you. That’s suits for you” and walked away. Needless to say we left right away. It’s now a joke to my fiancée and I how bad of service mens wearhouse is. We warned my father in law not to go there but he did. Came back later that day and told us how they were rude to him also and wouldn’t help him so he left. Our family has gone multiple times throughout the years and we have never had a time where we felt welcomed. Generally it seems to be more of a chore for them to help you. They give you the impression that you’re bothering them or inconveniencing them. We will never be buying though then ever again. Worst customer service in tricities. They should be embarrassed...
Read moreI recently rented a black suit from Men’s Wearhouse and had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. When I was first measured and tried on sample sizes, everything seemed fine. But when the actual suit arrived two months later, it was a completely different story.
First off, the suit and included dress shirt reeked of body odor. Not just a faint smell—this was the kind of stench that made it clear these items had likely been worn at another event and sent out again without being properly cleaned. When I brought it to the attention of the store, even the manager and another employee acknowledged the smell. That should never happen with a professional rental service.
Second, the pants were about three inches too short. I’m familiar with modern suit styles, and this wasn’t a fashion statement—it was a mistake. The pants looked like capris. When I brought these issues up with the manager, he attempted to call another store—an hour away from my destination—to see if they had any alternatives, but no luck. His solution? Suggested I wash the shirt myself and spray the suit with deodorizer. Seriously?
I paid nearly as much for this rental as I would have to buy a new suit, and yet there was zero accountability, no discount, and no backup plan from Men’s Wearhouse. I was stuck wearing a smelly, ill-fitting suit to a formal event because of their error.
The suit was a basic black—not a rare or exotic color—so I expected better stock and support. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I won’t be renting or shopping here again. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you want peace of mind and...
