We would rather give zero stars. To say the least, we've had an outrageous and frustrating experience with this unprofessional, dishonest, unethical, biased company that cares far more about money, deceiving others, and causing more unnecessary issues for you and your appliance than being knowledgable and able to properly repair an appliance and provide actual solutions. They are rude and hang up on phone calls with customers. They lied about calling us and leaving a voicemail when in fact they did not call or leave a voicemail. The lead technician repeatedly failed to repair the appliance and made our still broken appliance worse. Despite clear evidence, they had the audacity to falsely accuse us and threaten us when they are the ones who failed to repair the appliance, cause more issues, and repeatedly lie. Avoid them at all costs if you would like to avoid problems, a broken appliance, being lied to and threatened, and having your time and money wasted. We would never recommend this company to anyone. I own a home in Big Pine Key FL. I used Kolhage Appliances for a dryer repair service call. After 11 months, and being absent due to the pandemic, I realized that the service I had requested for which they came and billed me, was inadequate. I called them and complained that I hadn’t received the service ghat I had requested. In fairness, the situation and diagnostic issue was ambiguous and can be misinterpreted innocently by their technician a couple of different ways. When I called them to complain, I spoke with the owner directly. After explaining the circumstances, the owner agreed with the substance of my complaint. Other than asking for the normal approximate service date, and with “no questions. asked” the amount that I paid was cheerfully and fully refunded! It’s no wonder that Kolhage Appliance of Key West, Florida has serviced the Lower Keys successfully for more than 30 years and I highly recommend them without reservation! What incredible service! From the day I walked into the showroom, I knew I was right where I needed to be. Kristine was extremely helpful and patient with helping me find quality appliances in my budget. I left feeling confident in the large purchase, and the final price even came in lower than "the other guys". Scheduling delivery was super easy, and on delivery day, Jean was wonderfully kind and efficient.
