My fiancé and I booked the morning (9am-1pm) sandbar adventure and we so thrilled that we could bring our dog (Tibby)! Captain/Owner Hans was very easy to get ahold of to coordinate and plan with. When we arrived at the dock, he was very friendly and already had a Yeti cooler full of ice for us to stash anything we brought with us (you bring whatever you want to eat/drink). The boat herself was very clean and clearly well-maintained. She is very comfortable and can easily fit a small group without feeling squished. The sound system was awesome and we listened to good music the whole time. She is a center-console boat with plenty of room to move around and one of the smoothest rides I’ve ever been on. I really appreciated the swim platform on the stern that made it very easy to get in and out of the water for both humans and dogs. Hans also had a dog bowl on board for Tibby and a really cool floating platform that we were able to hang out on that was easy for Tibby when she got tired of swimming. Hans was wonderful to hang out with. He was wonderful with Tibby and she was a total fan of him. He’s easy to talk to, funny, and we had a great time with him. When we said we wanted a quieter, more intimate experience, he took us to quite a few “secret spots” where we didn’t see anybody at all. He was incredibly respectful of the environment, stayed in the channels, off of the sea grass beds, and chatted with us about the local ecosystem. He clearly cares about the ocean and we loved hearing stories about growing up in the Keys! We will definitely go out with Hans on the Sea Monkey again. My husband and I recently visited Key West for the first time, and it was also our first trip traveling with our beloved pet, Sarah. We were so excited to plan this special trip, and that’s when we discovered Sea Monkey Charters. Hoping to create unforgettable memories for our first visit, we decided to book a tour with them—and it was truly the best decision we could have made.

Despite the windy weather, Captain Han provided an incredibly smooth and enjoyable ride. His expert navigation took us to sheltered spots surrounded by trees, where we were completely shielded from the wind. The sunlight was perfect, making the atmosphere feel warm and inviting rather than chilly.

Captain Han’s thoughtful touches, like providing refreshing cold water, ensured that we were comfortable and hydrated throughout the tour.

This experience exceeded all our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Sea Monkey Charters gave us memories that we’ll treasure forever. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Key West—you won’t regret it!

This was the BEST tour I have ever taken. And I owe a travel agency in Panama so I know what dealing with tour operators is all about. We were in key west last week for my honeymoon, but shared with my parents and younger brother. We HAD THE BEST TIME.

Hans knows what he’s doing, he’s a great captain, he knows every little corner of the islands and mangroves and knows where to take you to blow your mind. He didn’t care giving us 30 more minutes so we could watch the sunset, he was always asking if we wanted to chill and stay at the sandbar or we wanted to see more. The sandbars were he took us were spectacular. The MUSIC and ambience was great. He was SO fun and kind and always willing to make our experience wonderful and he did. FULLY recommended. Thank you HANS I can’t wait to go on a tour with u again and take my friends!!
