Vista Foods — Local services in Laconia

I have been going to the 376 South Main Location almost everyday after work for almost a year. Today, I was targeted and pulled aside by a Assistant manager saying that there was a long standing policy of not allowing backpacks or large bags because of theft issues. There are no signs for this policy. Other customers had bags and large purses and were allowed to freely roam the store. I was even in my government issued uniform with my ID on my lanyard, and had my personal computer and government equipment in my bag. I have never felt so embarrassed or spoken down to. After asking the manager on duty about this, the manager even insisted that purses were fine as they had personal property in them, like wallets and credit cards. When I told her that i had similar items in my bag she insisted that "they don't have to worry about that" because "I walk around the store with my purse and never steal anything." Mind you on 3-15-23 There employe Ginny took money off my card without my permission so now that I went and said something I’m not welcome in the store because I look “ suspicious “ in words of bob because I carry a bag with me . Vista is a friendly neighborhood type of store. The aisles are named after streets in Laconia. Very cool! I shop there often, partaking of sales and specials. I buy all my meats there, as the butchers are top notch and know their stuff. The staff are friendly and helpful always. I like the store size because it is small compared to the large ones like MB and Hannaford. I can scoot in and get things quickly without having to walk a mile! Vista has its own bakery, and the breads are especially good and taste like homemade breads from back in the day. Their cinnamon bread makes the best French toast I've ever had.
