Laconia Pumpkin Fest — Attraction in Laconia

My only chance to visit was close to the end 🔚 of the Festival. There were people still trying to visit and find a parking 🅿️ spot. The Festival was colorful and there were a few people dressed up in costumes. There were a lot of Jack-o'-lanterns and skeletons. A market of small businesses selling their wares, food trucks, a DJ, live music 🎶 and a single station bungee jump were part of the Festival. I wasn't able to see 🙈 the "Zombie Walk" on Friday night. There was a full moon 🌝 on Saturday night. There were a few stores and plenty of restaurants open. I enjoyed walking around and having perfect weather 🌡️ was great 👍. Maybe I went at an off time. No vendors, no one there on Saturday afternoon. Just a bench with a bunch of decorated pumpkins. Maybe the kick off is lively, but claiming a " festival" is ongoing for several weekends....meaning just the pumpkins are still up .... Is misleading. We wasted our time driving by there ...very anticlimactic. Organizers need to be more specific on what is happening and when - instead of just posting on event calendars an ongoing "festival" with vendors etc. is happening over...

Bit of a let down compared to years prior but I understand the need to tone it down. It was nice to have a bunch of local businesses come in though, that made things a little better. The local brick and mortar businesses are really what made it acceptable. At least the town has a lot going for it rather than nothing to do in the...
