I rarely write reviews, but I'm so confused by what happened with my order yesterday that I felt the need to. This was the first time I've had food from this place. I did an online order for three items - two wraps and one panini. The Panini was the "Pickle Mac". It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. The thousand island was suuuuper drippy (thin) and had zero flavor. At first I thought it was just me not being able to taste it over the rest of the sandwich, but then I literally licked some of the drips by themselves and it didn't taste like thousand island at all. Disappointed, but I ate the whole thing. The crunch was great and it was cooked well.. I just felt like overall it was bland. Especially for something that comes across as a Big Mac knockoff.
I saved the Big Dill Wrap that I got for lunch today. I knew a second day wrap ran the risk of being soggy, and the avocado had turned brown (as it should) so whatever.. but I pulled rotten spring mix out of it after realizing that's what I was tasting. The green lettuce itself was totally fine. I don't think spring mix should be brown and start smelling after 24 hours. But my main complaint about this one was there was NO dill ranch. I literally bought it because I wanted something with major pickle flavor and was so bummed today when it was missing. I even opened the darn thing up searching for it.
Anyway, I'd try them again eventually because I like the concept of the restaurant. Maybe it was an off day? Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff? I dunno. Just not a great...
Read moreSo I will hand it to these guys they take customer complaints seriously. I complained about their cups looking cheap on crappy on FB and when I went in today I was surprised that they did change their cups.
My first issue today was that the workers seemed to be pushing for customers to write good Google reviews. It felt pushy and invasive. Reviews should be honest and given freely, not requested. It seems like peer pressure to me. Maybe it's my aversion to people but I don't like people telling me some thing is so good and so great while I'm eating it. Let me decide that please.
My second issue is I ordered a gyro wrap and there was no gyro. Only chicken. So please don't call it a gyro wrap. It's deceptive. And even if you have chicken in the subtext saying gyro really big makes it look like I'm actually getting gyro.
I didn't like the lack of combo options. The salad menu is a bit slim. The pita bread was good but it was probably not very healthy. It definitely seemed smothered in something delicious. I would not recommend this place for vegans. Also there is no soup/salad option. Or a half sandwich and half soup/salad option. I felt limited some how when ordering
The seating is a little slim. But they have those Mexican coca colas I like.
Overall, the sandwiches are good. I am sure the cook really likes making sandwiches and it's a passion for them. But I think there is a hyper fixation on the sandwiches and not on the overall experience for individuals that come in. I just find it missing a...
Read moreAll around a great place! I WILL be back. The woman taking my order was very patient and answered my questions regarding some interesting specials. I ended up ordering the steak & cheese panini. WOW! It was made quickly, came out super hot, you could tell by the taste the ingredients were so fresh. On top of that the amount of real steak in it was quite a bit. Before leaving I talking with them about some other menu items such as the breakfast sandwiches. To hear that they always use real eggs was so refreshing to hear. The owner and I chatted for a bit too and he stressed how important ingredients used are to him and well, it shows.
I have now found my new favorite spot when I am in town. My only complaint is that they aren’t closer to my house!
You MUST go try their menu. I can’t wait to try something else, because if it is even half as good as the steak & cheese I think it will still be better than SO many...
