Great addition to rebirth of downtown Laconia and a template for other empty stores. The huge space is great especially for families and groups. Bikers during bike week will love it.
In this era of Covid and a lot flu still going around, a huge open place like this is safer - you can be very separated from others. Tiny places that pack you in? No thanks, not now.
Prices are very reasonable and food is great. Free parking. They need better signs. I stumbled on it by accident. They put a lot of money and effort into this place. My server, Willow, was terrific, as well as gorgeous. The cheese omelette was excellent. The shredded potatoes were too dry but no big deal. The regular home fries are perfect, which is rare today. The blueberries in my pancake were so fresh and juicy, the juice splashed on the counter when my knife cut the pancake(see pic). Do they have a blueberry bush out back?
Laconia is back. Bob Dylan's son Jacob and his band the Wallflowers Just played a block away at the Colonial Theater. I'm heading to the Flip Side for...
Read moreFood wasn’t cooked all the way. Homefries were crunchy. Just unreasonable prices compared to what their online menu offers. And thanks for telling me there’s a 3% charge extra for using a credit card.
To respond back to you, There is no sign i saw for a 3% charge. There are signs posted EVERYWHERE that said sit where you want, “as when we walked in we got told where to sit” when my party sat we and ordered coffees. 2 out of the 4 in my party complained to the server that it wasn’t good and they would like water instead. (We still got charged for it and if you want I can post receipt seeing how you want to be defensive). Then we miraculously got a different waitress. When I told her the home fries weren’t cooked all the way she they said to me everyone is getting the same home fries. So as an owner before you come after me, you should look at your staff. And yes this is a week late but I promise you il never walk into your place again. It’s the worst...
Read moreThis place is huge, it's a former Dollar General Store, mock up into a diner. It's feels like your eating (if you ever get your food) in a wearhouse or train station. No personality. We went on a Sunday for breakfast, on vacation, so, sure we got seated right away, but don't let that fool you. It was over an hour with no food and the staff wouldn't even look at us. They probably knew if they did they might get yelled at (but I'm not that kind of person, it wasn't their fault, it was the kitchen.) I walked out. Half of my family stayed. I did go back in to find out wasting half of our day - on vacation - 3 out of 4 of the orders were wrong and undercooked. The Hollindaise sauce was curtled (the manager said that was only because it was warm, but still had the flavor.!?? Ummm... Anyways, it was a terrible experience but at least the manager comped the meal so we could finally get on...
