PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! MATT LAMBERT & KATE MALESKI DISMISSED MY CONCERNS STATING ‘THEY’RE JUST STUDENTS,’ SO APPARENTLY THAT MEANS BELITTLING, HARASSING & BULLYING OTHERS IS TOTALLY OKAY!

I visited Empire Beauty School in Laconia, NH for a brow wax and tint and was met with extreme unprofessionalism and harassment. When I provided my phone number at check-in, a student mocked me. Shortly after, another student, just 10 feet away, loudly said, “It smells like ass in here,” then added, “But I’m used to being around boys,” laughing and joking with a client. I was the only male-presenting client, and it was clear I was the target.

This triggered severe PTSD flashbacks from childhood bullying. I felt humiliated, disrespected, and unsafe in a professional environment that should maintain dignity and respect. I calmly left, handing back my paperwork, but the emotional impact lasted all day.

Licensees are responsible for the culture and behavior of students they train. Allowing such harassment violates professional standards and shows a lack of leadership, empathy, and oversight. No client should ever endure public humiliation or emotional trauma while seeking services.

I urge the New Hampshire Board of Cosmetology to review this incident, hold the licensee accountable, and ensure proper training and oversight so no one else...

DON’T DO BUSINESS HERE! I came in the other day with my Grandmother who is 81 years old and when we sat down and one of their students came over, the student that was supposed to be attending to my Grandmother and the other student bringing that student over to introduce who she was working with (my Grandmother) both of them looked at each other after coming over to my Grandmother and rolled their eyes at her and just started laughing as if it was some joke to them and one student was teasing the other student who was supposed to be attending my 81 year old Grandmother. I could tell at that moment that this place is toxic and you pay for what you pay for, which is rude and entitled students who have no respect whatsoever for customers nonetheless senior citizens. I was so flabbergasted when this occurred and I felt my Grandmothers cold fragile hand grab the side of my arm and at that moment I knew that we had to leave this place and NEVER come back. SHAME ON YOU!!!!! For treating senior citizens and customers this way!!!!!! My Grandmother just wanted to get her hair done like she always does and you embarrassed her and she got the same exact message that I got from YOUR students …...

Highly disappointed!

First of all I spent over 6 hours there.

I requested a simple retouch on highlights. Highlights to match what's was already there. I just had highlights done 3 months ago so this should have been a simple process.

My hair came out darker and blue where the blonde should be.

I also took my daughter to get a full high lights and cutt.

Instead of listening to the mom who is paying..

They bleached her brown virgin hair.

It's horrible!

It's orange and blue

The cut is okay but chunky and choppy.

It took 2 girls to complete her hair and 4 girls to complete mine.

My daughter hoodie and shirt were also bleached.

Paid over $221.xx

I'm so stressed out, due to my brother wedding less than 2 weeks away

I don't know how to fix this!

I called and left a message for the district Manager of the shop to she what she can do.
