Wayfarer Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Laconia

This has become my absolute favorite place to be. I can sit in my favorite spot all day long if I want to. I often do! The staff is fantastic. They take an active part in getting to know their customers because they actually care. That is a beautiful and rare thing. They know their stuff and are artisans at their coffee craft. The level of passion they have to being an active part of the community is inspiring. The atmosphere is stellar. Music to fit any mood playing from open to close. Beautiful woodwork and eclectic charm in every corner. Perfect lighting day and night. The best thing about them though, the VIBE! It is very calm and inclusive and relaxing while also being engaging, full of life and I dare say one of the most magnetic places in Laconia. You can tell by the energy in the room how fantastic this place is. It has brought much needed community back into Laconia. You can't go here without feeling good and smiling! I highly recommend that if you haven't been here... You hurry up and change that. If you have been here before, hurry up and come back. Suffice to say a wonderful place to be lucky enough to be a part of, here is to it being here for a long, long time. So, long story not short, yes Google, I do recommend Wayfarer Coffee...

I never leave reviews, but I feel like I owe this to my fellow gluten-free individuals who are looking at their GF waffles with excitement. I am disappointed to say that they were the worst gluten-free thing I've ever eaten at a restaurant ever. Side note, they cannot do any of the meat waffles as gf, which was a bummer but totally ok, I was still excited. My sister got the normal bacon and maple waffle which was SO GOOD. And then mine came out and were almost half the size, which again, they're gf, not a big deal, I'm used to it. But the texture - Dry like styrofoam on the outside, gummy on the inside. I'm used to gf things be a weird texture, but the worst thing was actually the taste. It was worse than bland, it was simply bad. Like I didn't finish them and had to eat something after to get the taste out of my mouth bad. I think the issue is the batter being both gf and vegan, so if they just got another gluten free batter they'd be set. This place has some great features: nice atmosphere, plenty of seating, the coffee is good, they offer food which can be ordered gluten free and or vegan, and they're dog friendly! The reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because, the four times I've been here, twice for sure I've been given milk in my coffee when I explained I have an egg and dairy allergy and I wanted oat milk, which means its A 50/50 chance they get the order right. It's just upsetting because my allergy is no joke and even a sip will swell my mouth and make me sick for days. I understand mistakes happen, and if it had just been once I would have let it slide. It's just bad that now it's hard to go here because I feel like I can't trust the food and drink I'm being served is safe for me to eat. This review is just a heads up with allergies like me, please double check what you're given!! Also wanted to add they use a lot of one time use stuff, so even if you eat in, expect to be given plastic(?)...
