On 9/3 I purchased a used code reader to see how we would like it and was told if it didnāt work out we could return it. We decided that we preferred the Bosch code reader so I brought it back in original packaging, with a receipt today. I really wish I had gone into any other OāReillyās to make the return. Theresa yelled at me when I said I was there to make a return and told me there were no returns accepted for that item. I tried to explain they told us it wouldnāt be a problem when we purchased it, and she was slamming the keys on her keyboard and yelling at me, saying that I couldnāt go by clothing, take it home, decide I didnāt like it and then expect the store to return it. I said, āIām pretty sure that happens all of the time.ā She kept slamming the keys on her keyboard and yelling at me in front of another employee and other customers. I asked if there was a manager I could talk to because she was being very rude and she told me, āNot today, Iām dealing with her.ā She literally was so mad she was shaking. Iāve been in this store many other times, and Iāve always been met with helpful, friendly people. I have never experienced such bad, rude customer service in my life. Iāll stick to using our Napa and Auto Value accounts...

When I had asked about having a reader put on my car for the service engine light on she stated to take it to my mechanic it was not her job. When I informed her it was posted that this service was provided free she got all salty and grabbed the machine from the shelf and headed to my vehicle. She then shoved the end into my car and turned it on. She said LOOK NO SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT. That I needed to take my car to my mechanic and that I should try changing the oil some time. ( without even checking to see if my oil was good) FYI my car has its oil changed at a shop regularly. This Assistance manager then yanked the plug from my car and shoved the machine towards my face and said SEE NO CODES, GO GET YOUR OIL CHANGED. And slammed my car door. I went to exchange it for the right product and the middle aged guy made it seemed like it was the newest thing in the world for people to ask for exchanges. Literally told him there was nothing wrong with the original piece I bought, but just that I bought the wrong item. I asked for my receipt back since he was acting like a child and just exchanged it at the Reedsburg location that exchanged it without any of the sass that that grown man had.
