Studio X Hair Designs (by appointment only) — Local services in Lake Havasu City

(PLEASE READ) I had never been to a hair designer before, and being a guy I was already nervous enough and did not really know what to expect. I had walked into a studio downtown next to "Planet Fitness" parking lot, I was about to change my hair color for the first time in my whole life. At first things were normal and the lady started to color and style my hair, no biggie I thought until she put the bleach in my hair. Not only did it start to burn after 10 minutes to the point I was shaking in pain and wasnt sure if it was normal and maybe should say something. I waited about 2 more minutes and told the lady "excuse me, but is this suppose to burn like this?" To her reply was "It will a little bit." another minute passed and I had to get up and ask her to wash it out because it was burning that bad. At this point I didnt want to continue but felt like since I made it this far lets just finish it. She proceeeded and started to add the color. Another 30 minutes pass and she washed my hair out and to my suprise the color was the exact same as it was when we started. I was going from brown hair to wanting a "dove grey" just so you know. Now I'm starting to get a little upset but I dont like being rude. She then asks "Well this didn't work, lets try it again." As someone who didnt learn from the first time I agreed and we tried again and yes the same effects happened with the burning but this time my hair was NOT brown BUT GREEN! She said she was sorry and charged me $55.00. Not happy but here is the zinger, 2 days pass and my scalp had scabbing, flaking, and was completely embarrassed. But this nightmare had a fantastic ending because I ran into Katelynn. She explained to me what they did wrong and that she could fix it. I was a little concered only because of what the other girl did but Katelynn made me feel comfortable so I gave her a chance. Katelynn told me to stop in at Studio X the next day. Lets just say not only did she fix my hair and made it what I was looking for in color and style but she was amazingly friendly and very professional! And NO PAIN! I just want to say THANK YOU for saving my hair and making me feel good about my appearance, my confidence went from 0 to 100. I can only do one review, so I'll just add to my original. It's been years now and Angel is still the man! I added a before and after photo this time. I always look forward to my hair cuts, and Studio X is the full Salon experience. I feel amazing every time I leave, and my wife can't keep her hands off of me. Go here!

I have lived in LHC for about a year. I have met some great hair stylists along the way, but honestly Angel Castillo at Studio X is the best. My cut is a little unusual, and it's been difficult finding someone who will do a proper skin fade with a short feaux-mo on top. For Angel this was no problem, and I'm super thrilled! I feel like me again! The shop is clean, and I definitely recommend making an appointment. They stay pretty busy, and for good reason.

Don't be a cheapskate when it comes to you! You are worth a little pampering, and Studio X is the place to get it in LHC. You won't regret your big city cut from our wonderfully small...

I was in dire need for a hair cut cut and my scalp had been very dry recently. I was recommended to Katelynn by a friend they stated that she did an amazing job and they were very pleased with her, So I called the studio and Katelynn was able to fit me in within 24hrs, I was stoked because I had tried with other places and they told me an appointment would be weeks out, with that being said Katelynn did an amazing job, a true artist in her trade!
