I guess I finally found out why the name has an exclamation mark in the name, because that was shocking how horrible the service was. Preface: I'm a major fan of the Eureka chain, regular patron, live in the neighborhood, and know half the staff. I know and love the brand because of their hospitality and being over the top nice. But not Saturday mid day. I walk into the most rude host (Janelle) with an incredible smirk on her face. I greeted myself and treated her kindness since it was obvious I wasn't going to be met with the same. I understand having a bad day, but WOOF. She didn't even attempt effort at first impression. No smile, no hello. It was like walking into a teenagers room without permission. I got a seat on the patio and was waiting for my coworker to arrive. She's an elderly women and deemed it too warm when she arrived so I waited at the host stand so we could be switched to another table. The host was now no where to be seen. After 7mins we finally said F it and sat ourselves. We chose a long table in the back corner. Immediately, she runs up to us and scolds us like we're in second grade. She tells us she needs us to leave because the table was reserved for a larger party. Lol sure; while it's barely picking up at 1pm on a Saturday and an entire restaurant open with other larger tables available--that didnt seem petty at all. Again, we're grabbing for straws at this point, so we follow her lead to the host stand to get a new table. She then turns her back on us and is shuffling menus around pretending to work while she pretends to not see us. We had 2 servers pass by to ask if we were okay and we told them both we were waiting for a table. 30mins and we can't even get a seat. We again need to approach the host to ask for a seat and the host is even more mad. Its now approaching the 20min mark and we can't even get a table and she's mad at us. I had given up and sat down at a table while waiting for her, and I was in perfect eye line to see her rude facial reactions while she was trying to seat my elderly coworker. If this girl is a host and working weekends with an attitude like this, it's textbook obvious it's management that's scheduling her and allowing this to happen. We finally get our table. I've had Jerrica as a server for a number of my visits so I was happy to have her so she could save the day. We had told her about the host and how shockingly rude it was. Jerrica apologized on their behalf and we ordered, and everything was back on track. Since we were seated right behind the host stand we made it into a game to see who the host treated the worst, and it didnt stop. My coworker had ordered a gluten free bun for her burger and after Jerrica came by to check up on us realized it was wrong. At this point we were just happy she was able to take responsibility and catch it for us. She apologized profusely, made a new burger, and comped the meal. My one star goes for Jerrica saving the day. My issue is once we were wrapping up, I notice the manager Floyd causally hanging around behind the bar. He never came up to us or addressed any of this. I'm not asking to be treated like a celebrity just because I like this place, I'm just saying if you want any type of standard to be present, eat here during the week to see servers like Kalai, Draven and Jerrica shine. The weekend crew is embarrassing to have in middle of downtown where we're known for our hospitality. Plot twist: the "reserved table" wasn't reserved. It sat open the entire time and there was a 12 top bridal party that arrived. It's clear as day even from my seat the management picks favorites, so I'll...

55555 stars Saturday night, Yesterday I came Tom, as always amazing. I didn't think because order to go a lot that he remembered me and he did! I forgot the other guy who was working Saturday but he perfectly described everything I asked about and got the fish tacos. My friends were there, so I sat and ate some there since I originally ordered them to go. They came packed to go and were picture perfect and the taste and flavor of the Al pastor sauce on the fish, delicious! It all was fresh to die for and exactly what I was craving. Even though I had ordered to go at Sat at the bar, before and after I got my food, Tom still checked in me and my drink. Service from him always amazing, food always consistent. I came within the last hour before closing. Wonderful service from start to finish never any complaints. And the Saturday night chef, and those tacos from the menu thank you for such delicious fish tacos!!!!

Tonight, I was craving those tacos again so I went back within an hour before closing. The guy tonight, sends me straight to the bar... My food took forever, the bartender, Dravin G didn't check on me til after a while, finally gave me a glass of water. She brought me my check right away the first time, and maybe she saw me with my wallet and cash, but took a while to get me change, still nooo food, grant you I ordered this the day before on a Saturday, and it was fast, and fresh super service for me and my friends who dined in. I'm local I've been coming here since you opened and to the coffee shop before Eureka...

Moving in, I ask for a house glass of Chardonnay, she brings me a glass no receipt and $6 change from a $20?!?!..... $&:"()?"/9!!!! Never brought me a cocktail menu even though I had been looking around the whole time for one. Only what's on the wall. Even online line I couldn't find it or even to confirm the price no receipt... I know it wasn't a happy hour drink but I get it all the time, and she didn't bring me a receipt for the Chardonnay but brings my food fast...mean while checking on the couple often at the bar, who one of them seemed to have food to go and was eating there... we were the only ones at the bar.... I feel like she pocketed my money when I had an extra five I asked change for so I could tip her well... the whole time I had to yell for her but she had time to text in her phone...when I left, only to find half the amount of fish I had yesterday, no Al pastor sauce or barley there, the fries were cold hard and seemed to half truffle oil in them when I ordered regular fries.... or they were old all in bucket back there...Which I normally love them I tossed them. Then back to the tacos, the Guac and tortilla, yes tortilla tasted spoiled. Luckily the Guac was on the side, so I was able to omit it, and then I realized the tortilla too? I took everything off one taco, tasting everything individually, ugh tortilla? So I ate it as a small salad. Ugh this was the worst I ever had from here since they opened. And I wont ever go back when she is working. I don't trust her, and she let the food just sit.... How crazy is it I told my friends Eureka and Flippin Good are the only fries I eat on Fremont only to be...

I was really hoping to find an atmosphere of a local bar where the bartenders remember you and you can go hang out for a happy hour. My fiancé and I came here once and had a lovely time so I decided to come back and try it again on my own. It was a Friday for happy hour so I understand it was busy, but I did get a seat at the bar. It took a moment to get waited on, but I did get a nice drink on happy hour. Spa day margarita is delicious. I would definitely suggest that. Unfortunately, it took over 35 minutes to get one hamburger and sweet potato fries. The bartender did offer me another drink, but he didn’t mention if it was comped or not so I declined, and continued to wait for my food. I ordered the burger with fig and goat cheese with a bison patty instead of the beef patty therefore I did pay extra for that. The sweet potato fries that were honey cinnamon had very little flavor for the honey cinnamon and just a little drizzle on top with no dipping sauce at all. They were very soggy and I was disappointed I should have gotten the regular fries. No one checked on me again for another 20 minutes and I had already given my card with my check and waiting for a box and some sort of communication. I continued to wait then when I did receive my check it was the wrong amount but they did process my card. Therefore, I had to wait once again for a manager to come and she sat and spoke with a server as the bartender attempted to get her attention to please come fix me ticket. Very disappointing. I understand it was busy, but I’m not sure I would go again. It’s unfortunate because it could be a...

My family and I were walking down Fremont Street and wanted to get dinner somewhere other than hotel restaurants. I came across Eureka online and the photos and reviews were enticing FOOD: There's plenty of variety on the menu for food and drinks! My family ordered a variety of entrées, and they seemed to enjoy what they ate. The Fish Tacos and Fish and Chips were a hit with the family. I ordered the Bison Burger, which was a favorite of our server. It had a big red chili that provided the spicy component. I requested the bison patty be cooked medium, and it was tender and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were okay. Some kind of maple syrup was added to the fries, which made them a bit too sweet for me. If you prefer the fries without the syrup, maybe request the fries without the syrup. SERVICE: Despite the size of our group, our server was great. She was kind and attentive and checked on us multiple times during our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed. The staff was overall excellent. AMBIANCE: We went for a late dinner and were fortunate to get seated for a large group. Downtown Las Vegas (Fremont Street) is generally loud at night, with plenty of ambient music and night-life walking by. The dining area was comfortable and dark, with plenty of mood lighting and TVs around the bar. Maybe lunch or daytime dining will have a quieter atmosphere if that's your jam. Tables and booths inside, as well as patio and bar seating, are available. Would I dine here again? Sure! 4.5/5 Stars!

The best thing I can say about Eureka! is that it's fine. I didn't leave angry or upset, but I wasn't satisfied either. We walked in between lunch and dinner and while there was no one in line, we had to wait to be seated. We then waited an extensive period for someone to take our order and that was compounded by the very long wait for our cocktails. Only when we confronted the waitress about the long wait on the drinks did she say that the bartending staff were changing shifts. Simply telling us that it was going to occur and that we'd have a longer wait would have sufficed but instead we were left to wonder and contemplate incompetence. The food, pork nachos and bone marrow burgers, were fine but not good. The pork was cold on limp nachos and the bone marrow burger, inspire of it having a topping of butter and bone marrow, was dry and over cooked. It was especially disappointing as we ordered it medium rare. The atmosphere was dark and chill, but it was also off hours and I couldn't say how it would be when crowded. The staff seemed pleasant enough and I got the impression that they wanted to provide good service... they just didn't. There are too many good food options nearby to contemplate returning. I wouldn't wave someone off from visiting Eureka! but I wouldn't recommend it.

This is establishment is right on Fremont Street, and is within close walking distance from Fremont Street Experience. It is a stones throw to other popular spots, such as Container Park and various nightlife venues. There is a large variety of beer available in addition to mixology bartenders that can create a cocktail. We went here before attending an event in the Downtown Event Center, sat ourselves at the bar. We ordered the bison burger and pastrami quesadilla, both items without cheese because we have a lactose intolerance. Our dietary restrictions were heard, which is greatly appreciated. Both items were well cooked and well presented. Service was great, staff were attentive, checking back every so often. The food menu is bar forward, so there’s a lot of fried items. However, if you are looking for a healthier option, there are a variety of salads and grilled items as well. There is also a loyalty program for the venue - if you sign up it will give you a $10 voucher to use on your next visit ! You just have to make sure you use the same credit card you add on your account for your dining purchase. This is a establishment that I come on a regular basis whenever I visit the downtown area. Price point is reasonable, and there are happy hour specials as well.
