in order to leave a fair and accurate review i had to visited several dentists in las vegas. because of the bad experience i had with dr azimi i felt obligated to leave a few thoughts. i was in desperate need for a dentist since i just moved to the area. i found dr azimi on google based on the reviews and the close proximity. at my first appt and initial consult the administration really didnt connect and only seemed to be paper pushers. dental hygienist was pleasant but struggled with the xray machine and had to have someone assist her which was time consuming. after all said and done i was told that a crown that had broken needed to be extracted and another tooth in front needed a root canal and capped. knowing nothing about what my options where i told them i wanted to fix it but in the most cost effective way. so i agreed but instead of the extraction they where going to do the root canal and cap but i was to receive the finished crown at my next visit and also they were to extract and prep for a implant. when i came back to finish the crown and start the second treatment is when things started to go bad. i was left in the chair a long period because of the confusion of my treatment plan. the hygienist finally started on my crown and in the process dropped it on the FLOOR! it literally rolled and bounced under the cabinets.. she apologized and said she would disinfect it. she literally went into the other room and turned the sink for a sec and returned quickly which was also concerning. after she cemented it i asked about my treatment plan and told them i didnt think the implant was the most cost effective so that prompted more delays and confusion. finally dr azimi came in to approve of the crown and was poking and prodding around and accidently pulled a filling out of one of my front teeth... he pretended it was no big deal and would fix it. after he did that he left to redo the treatment plan then came back and the hygienist was telling my options but since i was still making payments they would reschedule. i asked if they would fix the filling they pulled out and she told me it wasnt a filling it was food!?! i told her that dr azimi told me it was and she stilled denied and decided to get azimi to come in and he said he did but i was actually a good thing he did because it wouldve gotten food under it.... i will try to keep it short but i went to another dentist that gave me a way better treatment plan and instead of extracting another tooth he did a root canal and put a crown on it even filling the space next to it to help with cost! sorry so long but i had a...
Read moreI would've enjoyed giving a raving review, but unfortunately, other than the Dentist himself, the rest of the office doesn't warrant it. On 01/27/21, I went in for the options on what set of lower dentures I wanted to have relined. We decided on the newest set, which in the craftsmanship of them by another dentist, was praised by Dr Azimi. He had a soft reline applied, which felt good at the time, until I ate, then they were totally useless. I would've gone back in immediately, but I had just paid $350 on my CC for it since they said that I would have to. Then they would bill my insurance company and pay me the difference back. Well, here it is (4) months later and still nothing. And when I call up, Ms. Sadina or however you want to spell it, it completely unprofessional saying that they sent it in and there nothing they can do. I just received a statement from the Insurance company, which of course generated another call into her. This time I explained that it was obvious what they problem is, the office tried to bill the insurance company twice. And not only did they down that, but at the time of the service they had told me they gave me a deal at $350, yet billed the insurance company $683.00, TWICE!! Her response? "Well you call them on your end and I'll call them on mine. I did so and after a lengthy conversation with the insurance company, I was told that they had replied numerous times to the office telling them that they did not provide the proper information. Well I called the office again and asked if she had spoken to them, and she said, "No, I got tired of waiting after 40 minutes". Well, I'd waited longer than that but to me it was important. I guess not to their office. I called the insurance company again and informed them of what they charged me and that apparently they are doubling the amount quoted to me as well and trying to bill them twice. Needless to say, I am out the $350 dollars I paid, and still have a set of lowers that I can only use when I die so that at least in my coffin I'll look good since I wont need to eat with them. Just beware of their billing department, Dr Azimi is good, professional and friendly, but his Staff needs work. I would've gone back, but not ready for more of my money to go out, that's why I have insurance, I...
Read morefirst bad review lol. Let me start by saying that I never write reviews, so this means a lot. Also my experience is unique because I am not a returning patient of Dr Azimi. I don't doubt that the experience is good for a returning patient, however as a first timer, my experience was really bad because they were trying to get as much money out of me as possible. All I wanted was to get my teeth checked and cleaned before my mom's insurance ran out because she was quitting her job. this was all I could afford, and is covered %100 by my insurance, nothing else is though however. After they checked my teeth, they told me I had 11 cavities, even though I haven't a had a single cavity my whole life prior. Basically, they wanted to give me as many problems as possible, so they kid fix the most problems and make moire $$$! (Gotta love american healthcare!) This was going to cost 1,000 dollars out of pocket even though I told them I couldn't afford anything but a standard checkup and cleaning. The part that REALLY got me, is that they WOULDN'T give a standard cleaning unless I decided to get my "11 cavities that came out of nowhere" filled. I pleaded with them to just clean my teeth because that's what I came there for, but they refused! What kind of dentist won't give a standard cleaning when requested? The appointment was a complete waste of time, and I got nothing out of it except waited for a bad taste in my mouth (at a dentist! lol) In my eyes, the way I was treated is no different that telling a starving homeless person with 2 dollars who's trying to buy a sandwich, that you can't sell him the sandwich, because the meal is what he needs and is what's better for him. so the homeless guy isn't allowed to buy a sandwich unless he agrees to get the meal that he...
