I didnât have the food so I donât know. BUT holy shit this place was fun. Been twice, and I lucked out to have Emma bartend me both times. Iâm from out of town and I was looking for a bar that didnât have Strip or FSE prices and this place was perfect. Most people would say the premium on the drinks in the touristy places means you get better atmosphere, but Emma almost single-handedly got this place rocking a great vibe better than any bar on the Strip.
I like a little sass, and I like to mess with bartenders a bit and Emma threw everything right back in my face (not in the bad way). Her banter game was top tier, and when the guy next to me got a handpay on the machine, she made sure the whole bar knew it and posed with him. She even bought me a shot herself to take pic for them. I didnât get lucky on the machines, but I was lucky to be at this poppinâ localsâ bar with Emma running things.
The second time I came with friends of mine and we took over the jukebox. We had Emma movinâ and groovinâ and slinging drinks. She did have to tell one guy to slow down (how dare she be responsible, right). Anyways, The Charleston is my favorite localsâ bar Iâve been to in Vegas and is the only bar Iâll tell tourists to go to if theyâre looking for off Strip but still want a great vibe. Wish I could buy Emma a shot but she was working late...

From beer to legit cocktails, you cannot miss here, and open 24 hours so it's available whenever you feel too sober. Staff could not be better, for example, Cassie. Not many people can turn a life-long love for day-drinking into a job, let alone a career, but she managed to do just that. Hell, she was going to be on one side of the bar or the other, so you might as well get paid for it, right? Cassie works the bottles and taps with muscle memory mastery while she shares tales of how this bar used to be when she was a kid, introducing new faces to regulars by name (and personal details most bartenders might be afraid to share.) With decades of stool-perching experience and intimate knowledge of the area establishments, she chose to work here -- that is endorsement enough for me. So for bachelorette parties, pre-game warm-ups, a late night quickie or a sunrise wake-up bump, this is the one bar in Las Vegas worth the trip any time or day...
