The Beauty Shoppe — Local services in Las Vegas

This shoppe was AMAZING 😍🤩😍🤩!! We were in town and searched for places near the breakfast spot we happened upon, and this was one of the results. We weren't exactly sure which nail shop we wanted to go to, but when we stopped at a local dispensary we noticed our attendant Angie's nails, and they were amazing as well. She explained that the Beauty Shoppe has a special every Friday, artist choice, and that is who did her nails and how they came out the way they did. Angie highly recommend we go to The Beauty Shoppe, which happened to be the same nail shop that we were looking into. Even better, it was less than 10 min away. We called and got an appointment within 30 min, and I could already feel the positive energy when I spoke to the chick on the phone. The setup is much different than standard nail shops that I've been to. I love that the vibe was just completely chill, upbeat and positive. It really seemed like the artists loved what they do....and I think that was the key. These were artists. Not just a normal nail shop where they're just trying to get you in and out. Everyone was friendly and talkative. They did a great job. They took care and really engaged with us, they had amazing music playing and they even helped pick out colors. Totally loved it. I was also impressed that my glitter gel polish was manually filled off - like whoa, that was work!Can't wait to come back when I'm in town! Although we didn't have much time to walk around, the shop is set in the arts district in Las Vegas and that is an area that I have yet to explore. Today was a disappointing experience. Two weeks ago, I booked an appointment specifically for a 3D nail set. A day prior, I was asked to send inspiration photos and a description of my request — which I did, including three images and detailed notes.

Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the front staff, but things shifted once my nail tech appeared. While friendly, she immediately expressed uncertainty about being able to complete the design I had clearly communicated. Trying to be patient and understanding, I rescheduled for the following week, this time requesting someone confident and capable of doing the set. I was assured that the new tech could handle it.

Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Once again, I left without the service I had booked — frustrated, disappointed, and feeling like my time had been completely disregarded. This isn’t my first time with this company, and I genuinely admire the quality of work I’ve seen from Kat’s team in the past, which makes this experience even more disheartening.

I also find it frustrating that the appointment policy clearly states a $30 charge for cancellations or modifications made outside the allowed window — yet the value of a client’s time seems to be treated as optional. That lack of reciprocity doesn’t sit well with me, and I hope it’s something the team reflects on...

I would not recommend this nail salon, especially if you’re seeking skilled, professional service. I found this place on Google while needing a quick nail repair before heading to Sicily. Unfortunately, I was paired with a technician who was clearly inexperienced and lacked basic understanding of proper technique.

When repairing or filling a nail, the area underneath should be filed clean—leaving thick acrylic behind is incorrect. I tried to explain this respectfully, but she responded with attitude and even told me I had “horrible energy,” which is incredibly unprofessional. In the service industry, that kind of response is unacceptable—especially when a customer is simply trying to offer helpful feedback.

If I were the owner of this shop, I’d seriously reconsider having someone like that represent my business. Her behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment, and I personally wouldn’t allow an employee like that to remain on staff.
