Date of Visit: 4/16/2018
OVERVIEW - 4.40 Came here on a whim to celebrate my wife's birthday a day early with Ice Cream. We had seen this place as of lately, I think it was opened the previous month or so.
LOCATION - 5 Mixed in with those other businesses in the Strip Mall, it isn't to hard to miss if you're looking. It also helps that there are so many surrounding businesses in this once vacant field.
PRICE - 3 For a small ice cream for myself, my wife and child, it came out to be around $15. I honestly found the price a little steep for my liking, especially considering I could buy a gallon of ice cream for around $5. I do, however, understand there is a process and with the use of nitrogen, it can be costly.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 4 I myself am lactose intolerant, so I was concerned that'd be an issue, but I was informed their vegan style ice cream contained no milk. So that is what I went with, however, it did include coconut milk, (I'm not much of a fan of the coconut flavor). I did drown out the taste of coconut with a lemon strawberry blend in my ice cream, and I loved the tartness behind it.
POINTERS/PERKS - 5 Dragon's Breath is a lot of fun, especially if there is more than one person. I however found we didn't eat them all, and the "steam" had died out as we ate our own ice creams before they melted.
EMPLOYEES - 5 The manager served us and was incredibly friendly, and patient. The employees were professional and wore...
Read moreTypically a good experience in the past.... Last weekend there was an employee that was letting her friends goof off and she would join them at the tables rather than working. She also allowed them to use the register, walk behind the counter, and back in to the kitchen and ride their scooters and skateboards in the store constantly. One family left before ordering that night. All quite unprofessional. The most upsetting is she make my ice cream (which was great) and then her friend make my wife's! I assumed he was an employee but then after we sat down, i noticed him messing around with her friends, didn't have a mask on, no sub-zero hat or shirt on and realized he didn't even work there! He left on his skateboard with half the friend group a short while later. This was infuriating and I we ended up not eating our desserts and leavening in unbelief of what happened. I am sure that wasn't his first time making a dessert. I understand it's a fun place to be and it will be loud, but there was more than just some unprofessional behaviors that night. Management should be aware and I hope this wouldn't...
Read moreA Zero review if possible. Was at Primary Childrens for 3 days with my daughter and the only thing she wanted when we were released was SubZero because they are the only ice cream that is dairy free. Well 3 hours waiting to leave hospital we were finally on the road. Got to this location at 8:55. All of the chairs were already on top of the tables. Probably about 15 customers sitting or standing since all chairs were up. I walked in because I thought there was a private party... Not... So since the door was open I told my daughter that it was OK to get out of the car.. Which was difficult for her. I looked at the counter and the 2 girls were starring at me and one said we are closed. Really? It was not 9pm yet and the door was open with lots of customers inside. Long story short I have a disappointed daughter from a franchise that needs to let the customers know they come first and...
