Went this evening as a small group, 7 adults, 1 child of age (5-10 is when they charge children's price), and 7 children under age (3 more adults were unable to make it, but that's neither here nor there). I'll start with the good: very good meat offerings! Very well seasoned, maybe a little salty for some, but for our group it was great. For some of my group, the fact that it was not asked how well done they enjoyed their meat was a problem, and there was more waste from some of the party for to the rareness that was received, though for me medium rare to medium well is typically alright. I personally tried everything minus one of the two pork/ham sausages, and had seconds/thirds of everything else. I commend the taste of the meats as that has been very hit and miss at similar restaurants for me. I will say, for a Saturday night, there were very few options in terms of meat, but maybe this is the normal case for Braza, as this was my first time. Even with the few offerings, I was very happy as what was offered was done quite well.
Now for the concerns:
I asked about 4 times for more of the chicken before it was finally brought back, without reasoning being provided why it was not being brought out until the last time.
Generally speaking, it seemed like our table was being skipped, or certain members of our party being ignored/excluded from the offers(adults not children). To expand on this, after we paid, more so only because one couple in our party was leaving, we were completely ignored and no longer served, though we attempted to get the attention of the servers and our cards were green.
On top of this, we were auto-required a tip of 18%. More understandable if service had been top of the line as I have seen in other locales.
Now, I can draw some conclusions from the events of our time in the restaurant and the tables around us; this may not be the best place to bring a family/families, especially if the families include younger children. I don't believe any of the other tables around us had children under 5, and with all of the little ones together, many could be loud as they interacted. Does this mean we do not deserve the same level of service as the other tables? Our main server, Patty, who did well to help us up until the point we paid, kept our drinks filled, so why was there a problem with the other areas? I've been to each of the other main Brazilian grills(I leave it general in respect of this restaurant, however undue) in the area, and truly this is the first place I can say there were such concerns, though this is the first time I've had a gathering with such a large group, the largest I can recall before this being with 7 adults and only 2 children.
I can't imagine returning to this restaurant, though I will give it 2🌟 for the savory...

Original Review Such a disappointment.
We made a reservation for 6:30 and when we showed up, there was a group of 5 that walked in after us who had a reservation for 6:00 that they sat before us. We then had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, despite our reservation.
Almost every meat was overcooked. Most of the food from the bar was disappointing and flavorless. The guarana in the glass tasted very watered down.
Picanha was good, but one slice tasted like chemicals. The cheese balls were the only thing that was amazing and we actually enjoyed.
We were seated for a loooong time wondering if they were going to get our drink order. We had to ask multiple people for drinks before they finally got our drink order.
The servers continually walked by our table even though we had the green showing on the table.
I asked for chicken hearts and they said it would be a 10 minute wait. I said that's fine, we will wait. We were all done eating but just waiting for the chicken hearts. I told the server that I was switching the square to red, but to please bring the hearts because that's the last thing we're waiting for. 10 minutes later, he brought chicken hearts around to every table but ours!
We changed our dice to "Check please" and sat there for probably close to a half hour and no one was bringing our check! We looked over at a table near us and there was a family that was also waiting forever and no one was helping them either. When they finally brought our check, we told them the other family was waiting forever as well.
It was clear that this place was understaffed.
Look, if I am getting service worse than an Olive Garden when I'm paying twice the price, that's not OK. On top of that, the food being disappointing? Double whammy, not good.
Definitely...
Read moreWe've been twice now. We said we wouldn't go back after the first time but a year later we decided to try it again. It was worse this time. We've been to Tucanos many many times. We've been to Rodizio Grill multiple times. I used to go to a similar place that closed many years ago that was in the Sandy area. All of those places were far better than this place.
The good: The place is clean and smells good. The beef tenderloin was very good and our kids LOVED the cheese bread balls. The feijoada was pretty good too. We also generally liked the chicken, chicken wrapped in bacon and the top sirloin was hit and miss. They kept our drinks full and the servers and meat servers were very friendly.
The bad: Most of the items we had from the salad bar were OK to gross. The meatballs were nasty and almost mushy. The croquets were super dry. The mashed potatoes could have passed as mashed cauliflower. It had a weird texture and a very bland flavor. The chicken dumplings were down right gross. They looked fantastic but man they weren't good. The garlic sirloin tasted terrible. The meat cook on it was fantastic but the flavor was awful. It's our favorite type of meat at Tucanos and Rodizio Grill. We tried it twice just to make sure. It was terrible again. Their recipe is just gross. Like I couldn't finish eating the bite in my mouth without water gross... We got top sirloin that was very good and then we got some that had no flavor at all on the outside cuts. That was just weird. The pineapple was the second biggest disappointment for us. They apparently don't sweeten the pineapple. It was OK at best, but I didn't want anymore after the first try.
There were definitely other things we had issues with but this is what I remember. I have no idea how this place has such high reviews. Maybe we've just come to love other restaurants recipes better and others like these more... Though I have no idea how anyone could like that garlic sirloin. Seriously. That...
