The place is amazing when first walk in. Huge selections. But then the excitement wears off. More than 50% of what we picked up was expired! MAKE SURE TO CHECK EXPIRATIONS. So much candy on the shelves with expired dates. Some 2 years expired. We decide to get the Mix and Match 6 pack of Soda. A wall full of very rare and unique sodas. But again, more than half of what we wanted to purchase was expired. Hard to see those dates on bottles. We ended up getting some candies and a 6 pack of soda. Got home and a few days later my daughter had a RootBeer Maines root I believe. She took one sip and noticed the bottle cracked all the way down one side and a horizontal crack around 1/3 the circumference. Lucky she only took one sip. With a crack like that there's a good chance of glass shards inside. The bottle was dark brown and we didn't notice it in the store. We were focused only on expiration dates. We'll never go back. As soon as you pull up they have comfortable rocking chairs so yall know I had to give that a go😂 When you walk in your eyes will be amazed on the amount of options this place has. It was exciting to see candy that I haven’t seen since I was a kid. They also got Charlie in the Chocolate Factory playing as you shop. New store in Lincoln opened within the last two years. Asked if there was a ramp so my young grandchild in a wheelchair could enter the store. The manager told me they were grandfather from ADA requirements for disability access. Said they put up porch railings, which was the best they could do. Told her the best the could do would have been to build a ramp for disability access. We lifted my grandchild’s chair up the stairs so they could enjoy picking out candy with their siblings and cousins. More attitude than accommodation at Sweetz & More...
