The Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study is one of three Los Angeles-area facilities of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, located at 1313 Vine Street in central Hollywood.
The Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study was named in honor of legendary silent film actress Mary Pickford in 2002. Pickford was one of the founding members of the A.M.P.A.S.
In addition to the 286-seat Linwood Dunn Theater where numerous public events are presented throughout the year, the building houses several Academy departments, including the Academy Film Archive, the Science and Technology Council, and the Grants and Nicholl Fellowship programs.

Yes Will was wrong to act in violence but the Academy should take notice that they allowed the Smith family to be put in a very uncomfortable and emotional position. Phychiatrists call this temporary insanity and I bet a legal suit would be ruled in the Smith's favor. Chris Rock was lucky that Will Smith didn't use a fist. I tend to think that the Academy should take some responsibility surrounding this incident and work to put guidelines in place that will not condone humor which uses members or non members medical conditions...
