I’m pretty sure you can find worse, but this place is pretty bad. Everything can go wrong with an apartment will go wrong. Be ready for cockroaches making nests inside your kitchen appliances, lurking behind every corner, and crawling literally on every surface, including yourself. Previously I thought that you have to be a very messy person to find yourself with bug problem this bad. Turns out, having water in your apartment is attractive enough (they will even squeeze into a stovetop tea kettle left unattended). I really hope this is just perks of living in an apartment adjacent to the trash room…
Anyhow, other amenities include: outdated electrical circuits (no ground wire anywhere except kitchen and bathroom), window frames that are mostly stuck than sliding freely, absolutely no air exhaust/ventilation except for windows, no AC, complementary original historic drawer that only brute force can open, incredibly poorly done interior finishes (white paint had yellow stains, and vinyl flooring had punctures from day 1), sporadically changing management, unreliable communication with the management (Ty and Johntin are helpful and great, but I have no idea how much time is going to pass before the management changes {edit: the management has changed again in 01/2023}), no parking, and a lively vibrant neighborhood of homeless and insane people living next door to your front gate.
This is the first renting experience in my life that I genuinely hate. I can’t wait to move out and be able to not being disgusted by making morning coffee.

The management company is constantly changing. There’s no on-site manager and I wish luck to anyone who tries to contact them regarding your problems.
Total chaos in everything.
Renovation made out of cheap materials and it starts falling apart after a week you move in. (No one is going to fix it). There are ungrounded outlets in our apartment (they grounded only those in the kitchen during the renovation) so be aware if you work/study from home.
Water is shut off regularly for repairs. (but it’s something to be expected from the old building)
My main concern is a huge amount of cockroaches. I started to have a nervous tic because I always feel like something is crawling over me.
I’m tired of living here and can’t wait...
Read moreIt’s getting worse and worse. The management teams are constantly changing. The renovations are cheap and it shows as soon as you move in. The prices are absurdly high for what you get. The walls are EXTREMELY thin and you can hear all of your neighbors next door, above, and below. And now they are letting all these young kids move in who party all night long and have dogs that bark all day and night when they aren’t home. If you want a little peace and quite in your home, run far far away, this is...
