What are people talking about? This hotel is luxe, well located, and away from all the tourist stuff.
The staff is attentive, the food is delicious, the lobby food pantry is stocked with top grade food for purchase, including a delicious Chia pudding and pressed juices.
The restaurant makes easily the best breakfast I’ve had in LA on a consistent basis. I stayed here long enough to try everything on the menu and I have not been disappointed once.
In the morning, they have La Colombe coffee for free. And they have high-quality croissants and scones. There’s a barista there who will make you any coffee you want to drink.
I have ambassador elite status, and I stay more than 100 nights a year in a hotel. I assure you, this hotel is a hidden gem and the bad reviews must be by brands that are competing.
The rooftop swimming pool is amazing, and as relaxing as any hotel, I’ve stayed in on Miami Beach at any price. The views are unbelievable.
The rooms are bigger than rooms at the Moxie, and better appointed too. Each room has a mini split air conditioner cassette in the ceiling. The decor, tasteful, wood, leather, and fabric.
The water pressure was great, the hot water was endless, the soaps are bespoke.
I stayed for 10 days and I would stay another 10. In LA, I have previously stayed at the W hotels and SLS. This is my new go to location.
There is a bar on the rooftop that sees a lot of activity later in the week and into the weekend. If you’re going to bed early, just be aware of that. The sound did not bother me, although I could hear it.
Thank you, Marriott for this wonderful...

This was my first time in a Tribute Hotel. By comparison, actual Marriott’s are plain vanilla; there was lots of attention given at this hotel to create a warm, contemporary vibe in the rooms and common areas. The lobby, while relatively small, is large enough to provide guests with a comfortable eclectically decorated place to hang with leather chairs, sofas and a gas fireplace. The hotel provides a Happy Hour from 5-6 with free beer and wine; this was unexpected and, well, really cool! On the top floor there is a roof top pool and a Western themed bar that is popular enough to have a 60 ft. line of patrons waiting to get in on Friday night. The Western bar has a great view and serves AWESOME craft cocktails. The room we had was on the small side. There was no closet (use of hangers on the wall) and a single drawer underneath one of the two twin beds (the other had a drawer where the safe was located). Despite the small size, there was conspicuous effort made on the trim, fixtures and wall to create warm vibe. We were on the fourth floor facing west and had a view of the apartment building next door. Apparently, this platinum guest did not draw the Lucky Upgrade card. Staff were professional and friendly at every touch point. No gripes….a great place for a...
Read moreWe had a great experience at Hollywood Volume! My wife and I spend 5 nights in LA before a wedding.
From checkin to checkout we had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are on the smaller size but for the price and location they offer tremendous value. (Keep in mind this property is similar to a Moxy in that it seems designed for guests to enjoy the aminetities and near by local attractions)
The hotel restaurants were trendy and the roof top bar had a fun vibe to it. Its definitely a more lively hotel (again similar to our experiences at the Moxy). At checkin, we were placed on a quieter floor, but could still hear a bit if base from the music. (It didnt disturb us but should be considered if youre a light sleeper and need/expect a quieter hotel)
Location was great for us. We rented a car but found plenty of free overnight parking approx 10min walk to the Hotel. We enjoyed being able to walk to many attractions (hollywood walk of fame, Chinese theater, el Capitaine theater etc...) and be about a 15-20min drive to most others (LA Brea tar pitts, LACMA, Griffith Park, Universal etc...)
This was a great hotel to have base camp at. Especially for the things we wanted to do. We traveled in late May 2025 and it was rather grey and cool, so city tourists itinerary was perfect. (I could see during hotter weather wanting to be closer to one of the beaches)
Overall we had a great time and...
