All big institutions have their issues, but it's the people that work at those institutions that make the difference. I just met with Sarah Boyd one of the officers at this branch of Chase and she made me a convert. Chase is always at the top of the Consumer Reports surveys of banks. They are wonderful on the local level, at the branch. The way to do business with Chase is so make sure you have a relationship with your branch. Calling the 800 number is not the way to go. Of course if you have a fraud on your account I would immediately called the 800 number but if you have an issue with the account and/or charges go to your branch because if they're anything like Sarah and her colleagues at this branch they will be understanding and do whatever they can...
Read moreThe experience with chase travel customer support has been a disaster. They were supposed to help with a trip cancellation due to a medical emergency of my wife. I"m a 56 year old woman with a job. I think "we can't cash an out of state check" would be sufficient. Or just cash checks that your customers write when the casher has both a Real ID and a passport. Last time I checked, Chase isn't a small town bank. My father and I worked it out, but it really killed what...
