I don't know why Victoria Fall said she had a problem How do you even scratch an ID or driver's license anyway. I will let the 4.5 out of five stars of over 200+ reviews speak for itself. I have been coming to this bar since 1993 and never had a problem with the staff or witnessed them have a problem with anyone that didn't already need to be cut off. This is a bar for real people from all walks of life. It doesn't matter if your rich, poor, gay, straight, black, white, purple. Leave politics and religion at home and just come to have fun. If you can't accept everyone and have a live and let live attitude this may not be for you. It's called The FROLIC ROOM not the bring me down room or the give people attitude room. I have had a drink with many celebrities and I will not even start a list since many of them like this place so they can just be a regular person. If you do come here and see anyone famous please act cool and don't mob them. Be polite and they will be also. You won't get a better price on drinks in all of Hollywood no matter what you're having. Budweiser draft hasn't changed from $3 a pint for many years and all the rest are still cheaper than anywhere in Hollywood.
The bars only drawback is in it's size. Look at the pics and you can see that there are a limited number of bar stools. You may have to stand and later at night it gets a little cozy. Even when packed you can still get a drink easily. Also a great place to get a drink if you are catching a show at The Pantages next door. It's much cheaper to stop by before your show and the theatre will even let you leave at intermission to go here, which many do. Just keep an eye on showtimes when you visit if you don't like crowds. Again, you will still get served reasonably fast.
Next time you're in Hollywood, definitely...

You walk in off the iconic " Hollywood Blvd." Just 100 feet away from famous intersection Hollywood Blvd. & Vine St.. Vibe is old school. Early Hollywood golden era, historical, established, exciting, positive, confident, fun, dive-bar-ish, and functional as you receive great drinks. Don't be shy and if the music on the juke box is or isn't playing your type of music make sure you get over there and find at least 1 that is & it will come on after any others before play. Don't worry cus everyone is different in Hollywood. Tight & at times you may literally be rubbing elbows w/locals,celebrities & or other tourists. Great drinks to enjoy as you take it all in. go back out to the Blvd. Take a deep breath look at all the activity going on. Look 10 feet to your left. That's the historic Pantages Theater known for its glamorous design and offering top-tier talent & a wide variety of entertainment for you. Can anyone say early dinner, drinks & awesome entertainment. In the end, a bar is a bar, so have a great experience. Enjoy, maybe take a couple of ๐ธ. You can thank me...

My better half looked Frolic Room up on yelp and t is conveniently located next to the theater. We are talking stumbling distance. I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan. The total for the two of them came to $17.00. I was shocked at the price. I was thinking I would be paying Hollywood prices.
The Frolic Room is not very large, but when one is frolicking, does the room need to be large? It was packed, but still comfortable. The lighting was good enough that you could recognize the cougars from the kittens, but not bright enough to blind you.
There are a few places to sit. We sat at a small bar on the other side of the room. It was comfortable and we could hear each other talk. You could purchase music from the juke box on the wall.
If you are in the area and want a buzz before going to the Pantages, check out the...
