Iāve been going to this barber (Emanuel) for over 2 years since moving to Hollywood, always tipping 20%+ and making an effort to support them. I work in nightlife, and I accidentally slept through my alarm for my original appointment. I immediately apologized and took a same-day slot at 4:30.
Before I even got there, they sent me some snarky and rude texts saying Iād need to pay for both appointments. I still showed up, apologized in person, and again after the cut. There was ZERO conversation during the haircut, which was super awkward considering how long Iāve been a client.
When it was time to pay, I was told I needed to pay $100 instead of the usual $50. I tried reasoning with him, saying heās cancelled on me and my partner in the past last minute with no notice, but he wouldnāt budge. I get that no-shows are frustrating, but this was my first time missing an appointment, and I owned up to it. For someone who claims to value their clients, there was zero professionalism, no flexibility, and no room for human error. ESPECIALLY considering I've been extremely flexible with Emanuel's last minute cancellations in the past (can count...

I waited till my ap. time and had to ask to be helped. My ap. was w Alejandro, bro took nearly 2 hrs for my cut just to give me something I didnāt want despite giving him 3 reference photos.
After the cut was done I had asked him for hair product recs as I mentioned that Iāve had no luck with other products Ive used. He was short and dry, seemingly because he had another customer after me but I was still in need of service yet he was no help.
