Had by far the worst experience of all time on this particular day at this Barber Shop. The professionalism was almost reality show Love & Hip Hop level. Just to give you context, I have been getting cut by Mike the barber for almost a year-and-a-half with virtually no problems. I usually booked my Times online because it's more convenient but since they allow you to move your time before 24 hours I would do it regularly because of my Ever Changing travel schedule. The last two times I tried to book online I have had serious issues with the application as far as changing my times as I usually do. When I came in today to get my cut I already had the prenotion in my mind that I would maybe have to pay an additional fee for the irregularities of the two cuts prior. As soon as I come in Mike the barber comes at me aggressively like I was one of his children and scolds me in front of other barbers and in front other people getting their cuts. I calmly tried to explain the situation to him as far as the non functionality with the app but he wasn't trying to hear it at all, all Mike understood is that he didn't get paid through the app that I further tried to explain to him wasn't functioning correctly. It was aggressive to the point I assumed he wanted a fade or wanted to take it outside with how heated he was, and this left me dumbfounded seeing that this man is the actual owner of this business. Mind you once again I came into the shop with zero hostility ready to pay an additional fee for something that technically wasn't my fault on the app anyway. After minutes of hostile discourse and frustration, I tell him I will pay the fee and please just cut my hair and I'll just find another barber and not come back, he then aggressively removes my barber sheet and tells me I can go now. Keep in mind, Mike the barber has always been the more condescending type of person that lacked moderate customer service etiquette even when we were on good terms but I have never seen him this aggressive and this irrational to not even hear my perfectly rational explanation for the application not working. I do want to add, the other Barbers there seem to have Supreme professionalism with their clients and at least cordially respect their long-term paying customers. I strongly conclude that buyers beware of this place and go to Legends on Fairfax if you want Barbers that respect their long-term clients. To add a quick sidenote, he even brought up another issue last year he had with me booking a time to the barber shop on Thanksgiving and me going to the shop even though he doesn't work on Thanksgiving. Keep in mind, the application had that time open and other barber shops in the local area were still open but they just had less Barbers that day that worked for a higher premium. After I called him, Mike Being Mike, got aggressive with me on the phone and told me that he doesn't work on Thanksgiving and "now I know." I explained to Mike that if that's the case he should just block the time instead of having me use my time, planning, gas and money to come up to the shop just to find out he's not working. In conclusion, for those that know Mike and for new clients that are possibly interested in getting cut here ... I'm telling you Mike has considerable temper issues and anger issues and he can be very irrational at times and this was one of those times, avoid this...

My son needed a fresh haircut before the upcoming school year, and despite his usual reluctance, I was determined to find a great barber for him. Since we were visiting from out of town, I relied on online searches to find a reputable place. Thankfully, we discovered Exclusive LA among the search results.
Although there weren't many recent reviews, I decided to take a chance and check out the shop before making an appointment. I parked directly in front of the salon shortly after opening. Located on 3rd Street across from Oak & Poppy Piercings—known for their celebrity clientele—the shop was easy to find.
Upon arrival, I found Exclusive LA to be clean and well-designed, with a welcoming atmosphere. The shop features a comfortable, appointment-based setup with 2-3 stations in an open space. The chairs were in great condition and very comfortable. The environment is inviting for everyone, including kids.
Mike, the barber/owner, was fantastic. He managed to fit my son into his schedule for an afternoon appointment. We saw a client already in the chair and another leaving with a smile, which reassured us about the quality of service.
My son wanted a slight adjustment to his haircut, and Mike worked with both him and me to ensure we were all on the same page. The result was fantastic—my son rated the haircut a perfect 5 out of 5. I completely agree with his assessment. Additionally, my son’s aunt is planning to refer her boyfriend to Mike, and we will definitely return for our next visit.
The cherry on top is the pricing. Mike offers a high-quality product at a rate that undercuts other shops in the area. If you're nearby, you might have found your new go-to shop. Even if you're out of town, they take great care of you.
Overall, our experience at Exclusive LA was excellent, and I highly...
Read moreHighly recommended to anyone who wants a barber with substance! It's not easy finding a good barber nowadays and I just got lucky with Mike B. Ive been in LA for eight years, first three I had about ten barbers, in the last 5, ive had one, Mike. He does amazing work. I appreciate the time, the attention to detail, skill and most importantly his opinion. You want to feel good after a cut and he always makes sure I leave the chair fresh. Mike puts in the time, never feels rushed. Besides that it's a very clean professional atmosphere and they play the music you expect to hear at a shop while you wait. There’s a plethora of barbers, all who treat you like fam even if they don’t cut you and they all do great work. What else can I say, this is where anybody should go...
