Don't move here. It may look nice at a glance but trust me, it's not worth it. It's very overpriced compared to other places in the area with less amenities.
New Management just took over a month ago...and it's somehow even worse.
If your apartment is on the same side of the building as me, you'll be facing a giant pit of water, trash and mosquitoes - photos included.
The washing machine has never worked, the ice maker has never worked here despite filing no less than 6 requests since moving in, the maintenance has been absolutely terrible since I moved in. The maintenance workers who come by are very nice, but they are unable to actually fix anything then have to request other help...then I just never hear from them again? It's a complete joke...I used to live at The Pearl, one street over, cheaper rent, and AMAZING maintenance service.
Our elevators didn't work for months. MONTHS, lol, it's kinda wild. My friend would come over week after week asking, why is this not fixed yet? The gated underground parking is fabulous, but unfortunately the gate breaks once a month and is just wide open. I once had to tell the security guard because I saw an unhomed man walk right into our underground parking full of cars and to the elevators to ride right up to the apartments. Hopefully they were able to stop him.
Now a positive, big balconies! It came to me so dirty, even with trash on it, but after a power washing, I've made it into a garden wonderland and my little haven.
I also like our security guards. All good, friendly guys that keep me feeling mostly safe when I see them.
I must say though, even with that, I once had an unhomed lady rattling my doorknob and when I opened the door, she asked me if her son lived here. So...security is not perfect here. 3 of the 12 apartments I walk by to get to the elevator have put up Ring cameras because there is so much theft. I've had hundreds of dollars of stolen items (customized Air Force Ones, care packages sent by friends, about 50 amazon packages) and despite telling management many times, they did not care. They do nothing about the stolen packages problem. This should be a huge dealbreaker for you if you ever buy anything online or have friends or family who send you items.
I could go on and on but hold myself back. :)
Legit, so many better places to live in KTown. If your safety, receiving packages, your car's safety, or having working items in your home matter to you - Live elsewhere. I am so hopeful I can move when my...
Read moreThis apartment seems really nice and the price is relatively cheap for a "luxury apartment" but over the 13months I lived there I can reassure you that I have only met a small number of people who have renewed their lease after the first year and for good reason. These people tend to be older (50+) that just dont want to be bothered moving.
The leasing agent, James, lives in unit 730 completely rent free and completely disregards the lease agreement terms and conditions. He also uses his position against the guards so that any complaints made to him fall on deaf ears. He constantly blasts music until 2-3am and has garnered multiple complaints from not only myself but from his direct neighbors. A grown man that has not grown out of the high school party phase... pathetic.
Here is a couple things that are wrong with this apartment: 1.) Building management is a joke. Any complaints wont be addressed EVER unless you threaten to sue or call law enforcement. Only then will management send out a single email that will be ignored and never addressed again. 2.) People constantly smoke indoors and the smell travels through the air ducts into your unit. 3.) Walls are paper thin. You can hear people talking at a normal volume if you are sharing a wall. 4.) The tenants are disgusting and have no regard for others. I have encountered spit on elevator buttons, dog piss and poop in the hallways and elevators, and in the parking garages broken glass everywhere.
TLDR: If you want to live somewhere where you'll want to stay and feel comfortable in your home, this is...
Read moreThis is one of the worst places I’ve lived in. I was excited to move into a new building in Koreatown. From the very beginning, it’s been nothing but trouble. Moving in was a pain. Trying to get in communication with the leasing office was always difficult. After move in, there was rarely anyone in the manager’s office. The walls of the building are really thin. You can hear people walking outside and above you. Everything is cheaply made.
Worst part of it was at move out. Trying to find a place for the moving truck to park was difficult and management wasn’t accommodating. We had to ask the restaurant next to the building to let us park in their loading zone.
Finally get out of there when they send the move out bill with a bunch of bogus charges. There’s a “balance forward” charge when I had paid my rent in full prior to move out. They charged $150 cleaning fee after we’d cleaned the place spotless. Almost $300 in painting fees for what should have been wear and tear in the apartment. Lastly, they had a poorly installed bathroom mirror that had water accumulation behind it, that they’re trying to force us to pay for to replace. They did everything they could to keep the security deposit.
Over all most expensive place I’ve lived and hands down the worst place I’ve dealt with. Save your money and live somewhere else. I’d stay away from any apartments managed by this company as well. Terrible communication, terrible amenities, terribly built, too expensive, and will cheat you out of your entire...
