Let me start off by saying I'm a huge soccer fan (go LAFC!) and I've bought a good amount of stuff from Soccer Shop USA in the past. I will now take my patronage elsewhere.
I was looking for a specific jersey for me and my wife and called a few locations to find the correct sizes. The Figeroua location had a small (for her) and the Vermont location had an XL (for me). I asked for the price at both locations ($100), expensive but i agreed put both jerseys on hold under my name.
I drive all the way out to the Vermont location and, to my surprise, the price had changed! A 50% markup from the price I was told on the phone. The nice woman who worked there (it wasn't her fault) said the owner had called her after me and said to mark up those jerseys 50% - she told him that one was on hold and apparently he said that it didn't matter and that i had to buy it at the marked-up price when i got there.
So this stinks - I don't want to pay $150 for a jersey. I call the Figeroua location and ask if they've marked the price up on her jersey too. The lady there says she has to ask her manager and asks for my phone number to call me back.
The lady at the Vermont store hears my conversation and nicely offers to call the manager of the Fig store on her cell. She does - i talk to her - she tells me the price has changed. I tell her thanks and that she can remove the hold on those items, as I don't want to pay that price.
I drive home. Sad and Jersey-less.
Then... i get a call on my cell. It's the Fig store. I answer and tell them I already know that the price has changed and they can remove the hold. The woman tells me that no, the manager told her I could have the jersey for the original price! I said, "Whoa! the original price of $100?" she says "yes."
I get back in my car. I drive to the fig location. And guess what happens when i get there? Yup - $150 again.
Listen, I've literally never left this long of a review for ANYTHING but this experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. I understand supply and demand and the need to raise prices on some goods but here are my issues:
It's not cool to agree on a price, have a customer put the item on hold, arrive 2 hours later and it's marked up. YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME. If you are going to lame and mark something up, maybe give me a call and let me know before I waste my time driving to your store. Ask for people's numbers when they put stuff on hold. And finally, (this one should be obvious) please don't call me just to tell me wrong information so that you waste MORE of my time.
In conclusion, don't shop here.

When I called in, they said I needed to contact my bank, but it the person's response was odd when I said I was asking for an update for my online purchase and she asked "what store are you calling about?". Was told I needed to contact my bank because they were holding up the transaction. Called my bank and they said everything was fine on their end and they had approved it. My bank called the merchant and was told something else which they told me didn't make a lot of sense to them so they called back with me on the other line and then we got another response from the service rep from the store, or the call center for the store. I asked if we could just redo the transaction while on the line with my bank and then was told sorry, but the item is no longer in stock. Read moreI’ve bought a lot of things from this store, but let me tell you that as of recently customer service is HORRIBLE! The WORST. !!! To say the least... I ordered an LAFC shirt for my son 5 days in advance, & I payed for it the day I ordered it. I was told to come pick it up Wednesday, it was not ready. Was told they would call me back when it was ready! Never received a call !! 1 day later I call and say it’s now Thursday (I needed the shirt for Friday morning). The shirt was not ready Thursday either. The girl gave me a round of BS the whole day never called back then she washed her hands and blamed the whole situation on her boss and on the girl that initially took my order and payment. When I explained my frustration the girl didn’t even care to apologize or attempt to fix the situation all she said was “like I said the shirt is not ready come pick it up tomorrow morning as soon as we open” HORRIBLE!!!
