TL;DR: Tatsu Ramen offers a fantastic ambiance with an open kitchen and clean environment. The service is attentive and excellent. The ramen is flavorful, especially the soup base, but the spicy chicken sandwich was disappointing. Overall, a solid ramen spot worth a visit.

Ambiance and Cleanliness: Tatsu Ramen boasts a fantastic design reminiscent of Japan, with front ordering similar to vending machines. The open concept allows you to see the kitchen, adding to the authentic feel. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, giving it a fresh and new atmosphere.

Service: The service at Tatsu Ramen is excellent. The staff is attentive and ensures your dining experience is top-notch. They frequently check if you need anything and keep your water refilled, making the overall experience very pleasant.

Food: We ordered the cheeky ramen, bold ramen, a juicy pork bun, and the “are you insane” spicy chicken sandow, along with several sides. The highlight is definitely the soup base of the ramen, which is incredibly flavorful and on par with top ramen shops. The noodles are well-suited to each type of ramen: medium thickness and curly for cheeky ramen, and straight for bold ramen. The ramen, priced around $20 each, offers excellent taste but could have more variety for the price. The pork in the ramen was a bit flavorless, though the salted egg was delicious.

The sides were generous and worth the price. However, the spicy chicken sandwich was disappointing due to its soft, soggy buns and lack of juiciness. I would recommend trying the fried rice instead, as it looked appetizing.

Overall, Tatsu Ramen is a solid four out of five, standing strong among ramen spots in the Arts District and...

I adored going to Tatsu Ramen for these reasons:

Super supportive staff offered to fill our water bottles (which I always prefer but rarely get accomodared for) charged my freinds phone who had just traveled into down and offered to assist in ordering on the screen

They have gluten free + vegan ramen!! this is very hard to come by and I was very impressed by the flavor and quality of the noddles, broth, veggies, and tofu!!

Their portion of pickled ginger was well worth the 2.50 extra and was SO delish

Avatar the Kast Airbender was playing on the tv instead of icky sports!! loved that and the show so much, it set the mood real well

they had a georgeous mural and scenery I really enjoyed being there.

The only con, which was more of an unexpected quirk was that we sat far from the entrance along the wooden planking (which are beautifully constructed) that allowed us to hear the conversation on the other side. As the planks were oriented in a way to let air, sound, and light through.

This wasn’t necessarily bad, I liked that it felt more open that way. However the guys on the table adjacent were quite loud, so it was hard to hear my own conversation at times. This could be fixed if the tables were adjusted on one side or the other to be checkered between each side. That is having each table positioned on either side of the wood alternating so that you aren’t directly next to another...

Came here for lunch while we visited LA. This was our first time at this location but we have been to other Tatsu Ramen places in around LA. This one by far is the most open and spacious that we have been to. It was bright and inviting. Parking is a bit of a challenge - there are some metered parking nearby with some paid lots as well.

When you come in you are greeted warmly right away and directed to one of the tablets to place your order. We ordered 2 Bold and 2 Old Skool Ramen's. The family likes all the customizations you are able to do like add various toppings (and their levels), type of noodles, and spice level.

After we ordered and paid we were shown to a table that was already prepared for us. We thought that was a nice touch - they set a table with waters for everyone while we were ordering.

Food came out hot and tasty. The quality at Tatsu Ramen is very consistent and this place was great. I think this is not only our new favourite ramen place but our favourite location as well!

Restrooms were big and clean as well. Staff were friendly. Food was great. Place is spacious and bright. Will...
