Ordered a funko pop online, but the one I received was in poor quality (bad paint job, scratches on face, and layers of dried glue on body and head). I can handle minor imperfections, but this one looked terrible just from inside the box that I knew it wouldn't be good enough for display. Called store and was told to provide pictures in an email, so I sent them an email with pictures of the imperfections, damages, and details. after seeing the pictures, their response was that since that's how it was made by the manufacturer, they don't consider it damaged and that I would only receive a partial refund if I shipped the item back to the store, even though the item was unopened. Funko pop has bad quality control, hence there's a chance for a figure having poor quality.
I've received poor quality funko pop figures from other hobby shops and after explaining it to them, I was allowed to return the item for a full refund or replacement. This store did not offer that. I do not recommend buying items online from them.
In response to the owner's reply, the item was still shipped from your store, you just paid walmart for a listing on their website. I sent pictures of the poor quality figure with details just like you instructed. Read moreI had read many great reviews about this place and finally went and the customer service was fantastic, had many options and was such a comforting environment. I did end up getting 2 pops I really liked and while exiting the store I dropped my wallet and did not notice. I drove to my next destination and was about to pay and noticed I did not have my wallet so my girlfriend called the store to see if I might have dropped it inside and it didn't. I was asking around if anyone has seen a wallet and no luck. The gentleman from Tom's Model would call us to get an update if we found our wallet and eventually I gave up on it. I was a bit bummed out that I lost my wallet and about an hour later I receive a call from Tom's Model and the gentleman told me there is a homeless lady that had found my wallet and he said that she wanted to meet up with us so she can hand it to us. He offered to come with us so that he made sure we were safe and that is honestly something that I will never forget. He was willing to go out of his way to help us after I had given up on my wallet and he made it possible for me to recover my wallet. All I have to say is that if you do plan on coming to Tom's Model they are wonderful people and they have such a great heart. It is such an amazing place. Read moreTo start off, Tom's Model is AMAZING!! I am proud to say that after coming here for about a year & making a good a connection with Tommy (the owner) is family to me. Great businessman that knows his stuff & knows how to make his customers feel welcome. The store is in a sketchy, rundown part of the fashion district in L.A but you forget about that when you enter the store. When you come up to the enterence, don't hesitate to slide the front bar gates & enter. They are there for obvious safety reasons. Once inside, you feel like a kid in a candy store! He has an abundance of pops. Rows & rows. Everytime I visit Tom's Model he helps me out with getting me some pops that aren't even out on the display. So don't hesitate to ask because Tommy will check in the back for his customers. You never know what he might have! It's worth the trip & money especially if you can't find some pops in your local area. He has a wide collection of chase & special edition pops as well. Some ranging from about $25 & up. He'll go as far as putting your more pricey, purchased pops into his own custom protective cover. I mean, who does that?
