Westwood Riviera Apartments — Local services in Los Angeles

The Westwood Riviera in LA is a wonderful place to stay. That has been my experience over the past three months. My apartment unit and the entire building are absolutely outstanding: comfortable, quiet, very well maintained, spotlessly clean, conveniently located next to Westwood Village and Westwood Boulevard, just a couple blocks south of Wilshire (at Wellworth and Midvale). I love my apartment. The building is just the right size--three stories tall, with a small swimming pool, fitness room, and a perfectly functioning parking garage. But I have saved the best for last. The people who oversee the Westwood Riviera on site are unusually helpful, friendly, available, and totally on the ball. The building manager, Nina, is extraordinary. I have rented apartments in LA and other cities, and none of the building managers I have encountered come even close to Nina's dedication to the residents at the Westwood Riviera. She works out of an office in the building, and she is available and eager to help all the time. No issue is too small or too large for her thoughtful advice and wise guidance. She is smart, savvy, and very pleasant. I had to make long-distance arrangements for booking my apartment. Nina handled all the ins and outs of the necessary paper work, deposits, lease, etc. with calm and effective expertise. Nina is simply an All-Star. Eddy, the on-site maintenance man, works in close collaboration with Nina and he is a genial and skilled problem-solver. Nina and Eddy are an effective team. The bottom line: I enthusiastically recommend the Westwood Riviera. I will eagerly return to the Westwood Riviera the next time I come to LA. ...

At first, I wasn’t sure about the Westwood Riviera; it was pretty average in terms of apartments, studios, amenities, gym, pool, ... etc. But what this place lacks in facilities and services, it defiantly makes up in management; Nina, the building manager, made this place like home for me. She went out of her way to make sure I was 100% comfortable. I chose this place when I started my Ph.D. at UCLA three years ago because of her extreme professionalism and stupendous spirit. She asked some of the students in the building, including myself, about our online schedule so that there was no disturbance from maintenance or any of the construction crew, something she definitely did not need to do. As a student, I appreciated her for doing that! During the pandemic, she maintained the CDC health protocol and helped out anyone with issues, proving that she goes the extra mile. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that there are many better places than the Westwood Riviera. However, most of them lack this human touch that will make the place feel like home. My stay at Westwood Riviera was amazing. My SO and I stayed here roughly a year as my SO was finishing up grad school @ UCLA. We found a quiet, beautiful sanctuary here at Westwood Riviera. During our time here, Nina (management) was responsive and attentive and set us up to succeed! Even when we needed to suddenly extend our lease, this was a painless process. If there was any sort of renovation or construction or need to enter our unit, it was always communicated well in advance - never any surprises. All of our maintenance requests were handled quickly and efficiently. Amenities here are nice (the gym is fantastic!).
