Worst experience I've ever had at a PLS location! I was super happy when I walked in because they weren't busy at all, I was the second person in line and the women ahead of me was called to the next avaliable window like 2 mins after we had both walked in. I was relieved, thinking I'd be in and out in no time... unfortunately I was WRONG! There we 2 girls working the windows and both had a trainee watching them. After waiting in line for another 25 mins, one of the trainees opened a new window and called me forward, (why he waited 25 mins to do so is beyond me) anyways... I handed him my check and ID immediately bc I knew exactly how this place worked seeing as I have cashed checks at other PLS locations before. He has to stop and ask several questions to the other 2 girls, which was fine he was new but then he walked away from the window he was helping me at and went to a different window to use that computer? I watched him as he typed away at the keyboard for about 30 mins but never came back to tell me what was going on. Finally one fo the senior employees looked at me and said "it'll just be a few mins, we have to call and verify your check." Another 15 mins go by as I'm watching this young man and he NEVER made 1 phone call! He finally picks up the phone and continues to call 4 different numbers, trying to verify my check. The other 2 senior employees, one of which I had learned was actually the manager on duty, have finished with their original customers and continue to call new customers forward, instead of helping the "new team member" (that's what his name tag said) It wasn't until about another 25 mins that go by, that another employee walks in to clock in... the guy helping me finally gets off his 4th phone call to verify my check and asks her a question. She asked him to ask me what kind of check I was trying to cash (it literally stated on top of my check that it was a government check from the treasury department, SMH) he walast back to tell her what I said, and she comes over, stamps the back of my check and tells him to fill in the blanks from the stamp and give me my money! After another 10 mins the guy FINALLY brings my money back over to me at the original window he called me up to! Almost 2 hours it took for me to cash a small government check! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! The other 2 "senior" employees, especially the manager should have jumped in and helped this young man out rather than continue to call other customers forward! I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLS LOCATION AGAIN!...
Read moreFraud and money together, it's not a good, conjugation !!! The worst financial place, where I have been in the United States. I will tell my experience and you draw your own conclusions. On July 31, 2025, I went to this place to sell some euros I had. Despite the fact that the exchange rate of foreign currencies fluctuates as the stock exchange is and changes daily, and in the same day several times, the history shows that the euro is always above the dollar. So for one euro they always give you a little more than a dollar. Specifically that day and at that time the exchange rate was as follows: 1€= $1.15. So for every $100 I should be receiving 100 dollars or more, because it will depend on the fees that that institution has. What remains obviously, of course that in that case Particular would never receive less dollars than the euros he was giving. The official who attended me did his calculations, checked the bills and informed me that he would be giving me $93 for €100 that I was giving him. He didn't tell me about fees. So according to him that day the Change was 1 € = $ 0.93. I questioned the official about that value and he showed me a table with which he operates on his computer, and there I could see that for one euro they gave me 0.93 cents dollar. From my experience, I knew that was not right. I asked him to give me my euros that I wasn't going to sell. To which he insisted and looked for a superior to try to convince me that the change was right. That's when the alarm woke up. Something wasn't right. I left there and went to a bank that was five minutes away. Specifically a Truist bench. When the cashier of the Truist bank valued the dollars to how the stock exchange was at that time, and that was only 20 minutes later, three she was paying me for each euro, $1.15 US, to that was added the Fee that was just $10 for the operation. Explained in detail what happened to me because there are plenty of words. The facts show me that I have no doubt that the official of this institution where I went first wanted to rob me, but the most frightening thing is that it is very likely that they have tricked the computer system where he showed me that the exchange rate was much lower than...

I walked in, with my son, and was trying to cash his first paycheck. I could have used my bank, but he was excited and it was a Sunday, so PLS was a LAST OPTION, as their name is already ran through the mud with the community. All I wanted to know is if the check was able to be verified, like would they be able to call a number, I wanted to make sure that the check met all of their requirements before I sign the check and they call to verify it. I know it is a good check, but I wanted to make sure that it was up to THEIR requirements as far as passing the visual check so they can go ahead and verify the check. I did not want to sign the check until I knew that the credentials were met for the “visual” of the check passing inspection.. THAT IS ALL I WANTED. After about 2 mins and the lady still not understanding what I was saying, she kept saying, “Just sign, Just sign”, if he signs the back of the check, no one else will cash it because it had already been signed, prior to the person arrival at their financial institution. So, I give in and we sign the check. Then here comes the lady from the back who has no clue what is going on and tries to explain something that doesn’t even make sense. NO ONE IS THIS LOCATION SPOKE ENGLISH. The lady then proceeds to shove the check under the glass, she clipped her nail while doing it, which was only karma for the way she was acting. This could literally be the last place on the planet with 1.00, and I would 100% be with out a dollar. Worst customer service period. I did not once raise my voice at all and had to tell the mean lady who came in like Sully on Monsters inc to scare me, to lower her voice 3x. This company is insane to have one of their stipulations be to sign it before you know anything about the charges they will ask you. I am waiting on a call from corporate and I hope they have visual and audio of the entire incident. I will 100% spread the news of this...
