I'm wondering if you've gotten new people recently? Speaker was broken today, no problem to order at window. Woman working window however was told four times we wanted coconut milk in our regular coffee. It's okay, sometimes it's hard to hear, but it was said once, interrupted. No matter, it was a question about the food that was ordered. The drink order was said again, she didn't hear it. Okay, again, was spoken. This time she heard the coffee but that was it because after "Grande Blonde Roast with Coconut milk" was said for the third time in this order, she asked if milk and sugar was wanted. The reply was: Just the coconut milk. She said okay every time coconut milk was said. By the time she repeated the order back the coconut milk was given up on, as long as they didn't charge us for it, which they didn't.
We didn't get it either, which is fine. Also ordered an iced white mocha. Tastes like a regular iced latte. Thought the syrup might have been stuck at the bottom, sometimes some barista's don't swirl the drink and dissolve the thicker syrup all the way. No matter, you get busy, I used to be a starbucks barista, so I know. But looking at the bottom there is no syrup, instead, black dots. I thought grinds, at first, but they are all uniform and smaller than grinds. The espresso machine usually doesn't give off this many grinds, either. They look like the powder in the vanilla bean. They are the powder in the vanilla bean, which baffles me. There is no standard drink that you put vanilla bean powder into that has espresso shots layered on it, so... what? This is why I asked if there were new people, it's not like that's a common mistake. Read moreThis location has completely went down hill. I’ve been coming here for 7 yrs. but today was my last day. Placed an order online to be picked up in store because my apartment building sits behind it. I enjoy the walk with my coffee. Once I got there, lobby was locked. Called to inform the Bartista I had ordered an in-store pick up. She said they’re lobby wasn’t & then she asked me to go thru drive thru. I told her I was on foot but didn’t mind bc I had already paid. I would just be grabbing the drinks. Whoever helped us said that wasn’t possible either and asked if I had a car? Which I felt was inappropriate to ask a guest. I wasn’t walking back to get my vehicle to drive back when this should of been a 5 min transaction at the most. I’m here 3 times a week & do this every time. Most of the staff knows me and my order. The drink was awful & this is my favorite drink. I drink it every other day and today it tasted like black coffee. Idk what they did. This was once my favorite spot but I’ll go to Taylorsville rd and use the rest of the money I uploaded today. Then switch to Heine bros up the street since we can no longer enter this location. Definitely need some staff with customer service skills! My goal when I come to Starbucks — a warm, fine tasting, dark roast coffee that stands out from your “neighborhood coffee place” or any most other general coffee businesses.
My usual result: lukewarm if not bordering cold temperature without adequate/normal taste for dark roast black coffee.
My order technique: I mobile order my coffee within 3 minutes of being at the store to insure from my actions an adequately warm temperature coffee.
Final Review: I use to depend on driving to this location because the taste of my coffee was rich, distinct, and premium. Not to mention the temperature of the coffee was um, shall I say, warm. The last 6 to 7 weekends in a row when I show up to snag my cup of coffee the taste is dull and watered down, the temperature is usually so bland and cold I have to ask them to either remake or re-pour a new cup. Not sure if there’s an issue with prepping coffee too early and not having a proper way to maintain the temperature and also an issue with not maintaining EQUAL amounts of ingredients to insure a dependable taste. All of this has actually drove me to write a review and to switch locations. Thank you for reading on these factual experiences.
