We were visiting Louisville downtown and looked for authentic Mediterranean cuisine, we tried one and then the next day we tried Syrian Grill and Syrian Grill was best of all 👏🏻 The atmosphere was cool and it looked like authentic Arabic houses in historical places. The place was very clean and had a comfortable dining room. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The food was tasty and smelled good 😋 We placed our order and it took less than 30 minutes to get served, the chicken shawarma wraps were the best part, the grilled chicken thigh was so tender and juicy. The fattoush salad was perfect and not too sour. The prices are fair and the service was great. The fries were not greasy and fresh. They also have desserts like chocolate cake, baklava, and gelato ice cream but we didn't have room for sweets this time. Enjoyed the experience here and will save the place for my next visits to Louisville. Their menu is all Halal and they have vegetarian options too. Highly recommended 👍

The food at Syrian Grill Abu Abdu was superb. It would shine when compared to any restaurant. The Baba Ghanouj was smoky, creamy, and delicious. Each of the kebabs was juicy, beautifully aromatic, and with just the perfect melange of spices. The "meat on bread," a thin layer of delicious meat that I believe was fried onto bread, was indulgent and full of flavor. The Ozie Lamb was rice just suffused with the flavors of lamb and with meat that absolutely fell off the bone, clearly cooked long and patiently. Only the barest hints of spices needed: the flavor of the rice and meat carried the day. My partner and I both ate till we were fit to burst and still had lots left over. We're going to be back, and soon. Many thanks to the wonderful people from Syria for sharing their food with us. (Oh, and it is also terrific value... Though the food is so good, you won't even think about your wallet.)

OMG! I rearly advertise something, but this food was Exeptional! We ordered salad, shawurma chicken sandwich and a family plate of grilled meat with vegies and a meat bread. Grilled lamb and lamb kebub were everything! I can tell you, Syrian men know how to deal with meat! It's a must to try!!! French parsley and onion adds even more taste to it. Chicken had some Indian spices in marinade and my husband really loved it. The meat bread was very thin and soft. It tastes so much better than pizza. It desapeared in seconds. Grilled vegies had this meat smoke which we absolutly loved. I would peosonally add some eggplants, bellpaper, mushrooms and zuccini to this huge plate, but I think they have this option for a little extra $. This family meat plater for $40 can feed 5 or even more people, and everyone will choose something they love the most. Garlic sause was perfect for meat, chicken shawarma and fries, as we are tired of catchup and ranch. Shawarma was very good for only $7.50 and the plate is huge. You can litterally see how they make everything. They just opend a month ago and expanding. It was very busy on Sunday, so you might want to call them in advance. Drinks were bottles and cans, maybe, becaouse of Covid. We loved their peach sider. There are also many different flavors. You can also get pepsi or coke if desire. Very friendly people, but busy running. Give it a try and you won't regret, especially if you feel you are tired of food you...

As a costumer who enjoyed going here , but not anymore after today I was very upset about how the "owners daughter" handled and my order and treated me today.. I have placed sandwich's online for my family for pick up after I reached the store she hands me my food then tells "oh by the way there was error in price online so for one of the sandwiches "I did not make it a meal platter" as u ordered online but rather, I made it "only sandwich" because the price was supposed to be "higher" then what u payed for.. I was like how can u change my order for a food I requested without calling me.

Even if there was a price discrepancy u could have still made my order as requested and have me to pay at the store.... mind u as a costumer we have the right to pay the price for the goods that's being advertised and u have to honor that regardless.. Don't cook and make decision for me on my food for your own gain...How rude and disrespectful u are..She then tells me if I like I can pay the difference and will make me the meal as I ordered:( at this point I was beyond furious when I asked for manager she tells me "my dad is...

I traveled all the way from Chicago to try Syrian Grill Abu Abdu in Louisville, and I regret every minute of it. The experience was absolutely awful, and it’s hard to believe this place gets any positive reviews. First off, the service was a nightmare. The staff were incredibly slow and disinterested in helping us. We waited forever for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and bland. No apologies, no explanations, just a complete lack of customer service. As for the food, it was far from anything close to decent Syrian cuisine. The falafel was dry and flavorless, and the shawarma was overcooked and tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. The hummus had an odd, off-putting taste, and the pita bread was stale. I could get better food from a fast-food chain. I honestly can’t understand how this place is still in business. I came here with high expectations, hoping for a true taste of Syria, but instead, I got a disappointment on every level. If you're considering this place, save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. Not worth the trip from anywhere, especially not...
