So 6 months later still have not received a refund or phone call even after I've gone through the correct process to handle this sort of thing. Goodluck to anyone going to this JITB.
Update to the update: As of today nearly 3 week's later, I have not received my money back and have recieve no communication from anyone associated with Jack in the Box even after going through their website that handles this sort if thing.
Update: As the response from the owner below suggested I tried Jack in the Box again, 4 months later. Please stop putting the receipts to a customers order, that you have had your hands all over, in the new empty cup you are handing to the customer to put their drink in. So 20 minutes after ordering (I have an hour lunch, takes 8 minutes to get there), my food is handed to the wrong person. The cashier sees this and tells me they will remake it. I explained that I don't have another 20 minutes to wait for a chicken sandwich and fries and asked for a refund. Eventually the manager or assistant asks her who needs a refund and she points to me. He then rolls his eyes and says I'll get to it in a minute, (Haven't been in, in 4 months, not sure why he was rolling his eyes), and immediately gets back to his phone call. So long story short I didn't get my food or my money. Didn't think it would be possible for this store to get worse. I was absolutely wrong
Original Post: They were out of fries, carbonation for the drinks, some of the drink selections,etc,etc list goes on. They were very vocal about blaming being short staffed for the many shortages. Not sure how those two are related but didn't stop anyone from quickly mentioning it as I attempted to pick from the menu something they actually had. Staff was quick but why wouldn't they be, there was very little stock for them...

On 10/8 around 5:30pm-6:00pm, my boyfriend and I decided to visit. We were excited to go to Jack in the Box because it has been 10+ years since we have had it. We were the only customers in the restaurant at this time. The restaurant was clean. We were welcomed by the manager (I assume). He was very friendly and welcoming which is the only reason there is one star on the review. When we got to the counter, we were asked if we were ready and we stated we were not ready yet and still needed time to look at the menu. As she was walking off, my boyfriend tried to ask a question about a menu item and she continued to walk away. We assumed she just did not hear us. She did not return to the counter until we went around the corner and waved her down. After we finally said we were ready, she walked back to the counter completely distracted by her phone. She did not look at us once. My boyfriend asked a question about the tacos (how many come in a meal), she said 12. We were confused because 12 regular tacos seemed like a lot to come in one meal. We clarified we meant the regular tacos and asked again how many came in that meal. She then rang us up for a two taco meal and asked "that's it?". Still not looking at us once and remaining looking at her phone. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere at this point. The attitude and poor customer service we received from the cashier was intolerable. We were pretty upset considering we were excited to go for the first time in years. Read moreAbsolutely terrible! Worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to say the least. My friends and I stopped in during travel around 11pm last night as our first time in. We had placed a pickup order about 15 minutes prior to make our long travel easier. It had told us it would take 8-9 minutes and we chose to pickup through drive thru. When we got there the line was out to the road but we commited to stay in the drive through line as we saw people not being helped at the door/pickup window (you could see workers sitting at tables goofing around). It had taken 45 minutes at least to even make it up to the speaker to tell them we had a drive thru pickup order and we had to continue to wait 20 minutes when we got to the speaker to even be helped then got told they would be with us in a second as music was blasting in the background. When she got back with us she told us we had to actually park and walk up to the window for a pick up order after we had told her we selected the drive through option. We continued to park and walk to the window and waited another 5 minutes to get a completely wrong order. When we told them we got the wrong food they proceeded to hand us what seemed to be the right food however my mini tacos I was super excited about were missing along with some onion rings and all of our sauce. Also when we got our food by that time it was ice cold and our arrival time for home moved an hour and a half back. We were extremely disappointed with the service that took place here and we might never come back to a Jack in the box again after that experience. I hope you guys get the help you...
