I wanted to give a non biased review. So I waited. First the location is in a good spot. The inside of the shop is not welcoming at all. The pics on Google must be old. I stood by the front counter for a few mins waiting to be approached. I was rudely approached and was told to ā€œGo sitā€. I sat on the couch and felt like I was falling to the floor. The put together furniture was in bad shape. My bad knees hated me when it was time to get up. I explained the style I wanted and showed the picture which was feed in middle part braids. I was told I couldn’t get that style so respected the lady’s opinion due to her being a professional and I agreed to get knotless in the back. The Braider were EXTREMELY heavy handed which I expected due to it being an African shop so I knew that’s how it goes…. By the time I was done I was almost in tears my head hurt so bad šŸ˜”. It has been a week now and my head is still very sore. The outcome of my hair is not what I expected and I dislike it but I am dealing with it. My braids are not flat. On the sides it looks like I have something holding them up and bent outward. Only thing I can say is the price was good. I can’t say I’ll NEVER go back but I don’t think it would be anytime soon. I’m not from here so I will most likely try some other Braider in the area. I included pics of what I asked for vs what I got.

So I've been going here for a while and have never had any issues until yesterday. I came in yesterday at 10:50am and did not leave until a little after 6pm. For what I got; shoulder length senegalese twist, I should have not been in there almost 8 hours. The style I got yesterday was different from my usual knotless braids that stop at my waist, which only takes them about 4 1/2 - 5hrs to do. On top of that, the lady who did my hair acted like she could not provide me the services I initially wanted. When asked what color I wanted, I showed her a picture of three colors and she responded with. "No, we can't do that." Quite frankly I think she was being lazy, so I had to op for the usual color I get. When she finally started on my head, she finished less than half before taking a 5 minute break that really ended up being 20-25 minutes long! I'm really contemplating going back but idk if I will. It kinda seems like they're getting money hungry because for what I got done, shouldn't have cost $180. Don't get me wrong it's cute, but def not an $180 hairstyle.

Let me start off with saying my hair is absolutely beautiful! The braids look greatand I was serviced immediately. However, the experience was meh…. There were 4 ladies braiding my hair so I was in and out in about 4.5 hours. The braiders braid EXTREMELY tight! My scalp was on fire for days and I couldn’t put my hair up, pull it back or anything. Secondly, my parts are pick a parts and not square like the picture I showed them (no big deal). Third, my first big issue is how extremely loud they talk while they are doing your hair and the lack of communication with the customer. The ladies were talking so loud, laughing and carrying on it ruined the appointment for me. I know 100% they were talking about me and my short hair 🤣. Lastly, all my braids weren’t dipped and they were very stiff. They only dipped the ends and I had to redip them when I got home, which was extremely frustrating given the length of the braids. Last thing… my braids are extremely heavy! It hurts to put them up and causes so much tension.

I waited a couple months to write a review, to avoid writing it out of emotion. I've been going to this shop for 6-7 years and didn't have an issue until this year. I asked for box braids at my last visit. The lady was very nice and my hair came out beautiful (I thought and in my opinion). However, when I get up to sit at the chairs where they dip the hair in hot water, 3another braider looked at me and started laughing and talking in her language and looking away as if I couldnt see or hear her. . This caused the other braiders to look over at me and start laughing as well. The lady who braided my hair and the rude lady with the flat nose started having a heated argument and started yelling at each other (noon stepped in to stop the mess) I'm sure the lady who did my hair was upset with the rude lady. How bold was she to look in my face and laugh. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!! I've seen this employee/braider in the shop several times and NEVER was there an issue. I was hurt, embarrassed, and angry at the same time. My hope is the owner/manager had a conversation with ther employees. I had a similar experience with someone else who braided my hair earlier this year. She was/is VERY good but she and her coworker made it obvious when they were talking in their language about me and laughing as well. I know her name but will not put it on here. I've never asked for her again and won't. I hope management has a talk with her employees. This should be a comfortable place to get your hair done, not a place to be made to feel bad or embarrassed. I'm thinking of going to black American braiders. I'd rather spend my money with people who make me...

I would honestly give this place a 0 review if I could. I took my 16 year old here for passion twists. I was told one price over the phone which I agree'd to. We went and bought the hair before we came to the appointment. My daughter called me 2-3 hours later and said the amount of hair we brought was not enough and they needed one more pack. We originally took 4 so I was confused as to why more was needed. I went and bought it anyway and dropped it off and waited for her to finish. My daughter walks out and says that the amount I gave her to pay wasn't enough. So I walked inside to see what was going on and they were saying the price was $60 more than what I was quoted over the phone even when I provided the hair! Since she already had her hair done I paid it to avoid any issue and we left. Once in the car my 16 year old daughter told me they were very rude to her and even accused her of trying to steal the extra money that I had to pay them! Plus they also had leftover hair that they kept! Needless to say this is a horrible establishment and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. They are rude and will...
