We stopped in last night at the Bardstown Road at Heather Lane location to pick up a to-go dinner. It was a bit uncomfortable for us, because staff members were not properly wearing masks, not even while preparing our food. Of the four employees we saw, two had no masks at all, and two had masks on the chin but not covering mouth and nose, even when coming out from behind the counter to the self-service drink area. It caused me to wonder how well they observe other health regulations as well.
Also, service was a bit slow, considering how few customers were in and out. Hence the three star rating.
The food was good as always, and serving portion of the fries was generous--we do love their potatoes!. My husband enjoyed his meaty sub very much.
I had a small grilled veggie sub, as I mostly eat pescatarian and did not notice a seafood option (Tuna would be good!). While it tasted good, it was a bit low on vegetables, both in quantity and in variety. My sub had lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and perhaps green peppers. The only other vegetable the staff member offered me was banana peppers (which I declined), although I guess they also have mushrooms and artichokes for other subs. I would have loved grilled mushrooms, artichokes, zucchini, for example, and spinach, or at the very least a larger QUANTITY of toppings. It was like having sides but no entree; I felt I was eating more bread than anything.
I realize most people are looking for beef or chicken, and keeping too many vegetables on hand may not be cost effective, and expecting a fish option may be unrealistic as well, but many families have at least one member who does not eat meat. It can be difficult for a family to find a restaurant that makes everyone happy.
Mainly because of the staff not following mask guidelines, I will not be returning to this location as long as Covid-19...
Read moreHorrible, horrible customer service!!! You will never see me in that restaurant again!!! We went into the restaurant on Sunday at 8:15 we placed our order and stood in line waiting to pay for a while. When the girl rang up the order she gave my friend in front of me my total and gave me her total. When our food was ready she gave the lady that was after me her food. My friend in front of me got her order before the lady before her. When the lady 2 before me got her food she asked for sauce and the girl just walked away from her. The lady behind me asked for no bacon and got charged for bacon. She was upset and asked for a refund. When we got our food we went to set down to eat and the girl yelled at us multiple times that the lobby was closed and we couldn’t eat in the lobby. We told her that it was 835 and we still had plenty of time to eat our food because the door said that they closed at 9 PM. She told us that she asked us if we were dining in or carry out. She never asked us no such thing. She told us that if we did not leave they were calling the cops please check your cameras. You will see how they kept yelling at us across the counter to get out of the lobby, and threaten to call the cops on us. Never again will I ever deal with that place again. If you want to continue with a good business that girl needs to go because she has definitely ruined it for me and my family. I am in management and I know that is not the way to have customers treated. I am sure your first thought is it’s hard to keep help. But if you continue with that type of customer service, you won’t have a business to worry about...
Read moreI was disrespected. I had to call the police to get a refund. The door dasher was videoing the incident because the customer in front of me asked why the girl was handling food with her hair almost touching the food. I also concur I asked to speak to the manager. She reaked Marijuana and she had a Hoodia over her head. I asked her to fix my food bc the other girl is unsanitary. The Manger told me that the girl won't listen to her. So the girl took her hair out of a ponytail and swung it and put it back in a ponytail. I asked her not to touch my food. She went to the restroom and came back and said I washed my hands and proceeded to make my food.. Now the Doordasher intervenes and asked for the manager. The manager stated she didn't gaf about this job or what me or the door dasher has to say and she isn't responsible for other people's actions. The white girl apparently called me a black bi×$h and the manager said hold I'm you do know in black too right. Then they argued. It was bad. No gloves no hair nets or pulled back and video footage. Penn Station is a ghetto joke with high prices and no pride or code of ethics in their hiring process. I called corporate no response yet but that's not it. These companies will have to learn by the consequences of...
