First time here - My family and I are in for a Hershey park trip and needed some items to pickup for an emergency before heading back to our hotel. It was just 3 items. I ordered them 1 hour before we got there. When we pulled into the parking lot, the app said the order was ready for pickup. So we put what spot we were in and waited only a few minutes. But then we were greeted with the most rude employee. I think he was a manager because he wasn't wearing the typical vest and uniform. He was bald and had white mustache and beard, an older gentleman. Flustered, he looked at my code on my phone and then told me next time we need to give them time to prepare the order. I'm not a Target employee and never have been, so what am I supposed to think when the app says my order is ready? Was it not actually ready? While I created the order, I noted to put the items in the backseat of my car. It was a gallon of water and 6 pack bottles of soda (very heavy and bulky) but no - this rude gentleman pushed these items through my window for me to take. I didn't even have time to say anything because he was rushing to leave. He said AGAIN that I really should have given them more time to prepare the items. Sir - I gave you 1 hour and the app said the order was ready. It's not my problem at that point. Good thing I'm not local. I'm never going...
Read moreHorrible customer service at the customer service desk. I went to exchange a dress my daughter received as a gift. Since we didn’t have a receipt, I called the store ahead of time and was told I could still exchange it by showing my ID. However, when I arrived, I was only offered a $9 gift card for a dress that originally cost $18. I was also told that I could only do an exchange if the exact same dress was available — unfortunately, it wasn’t.
When I asked to get the dress back instead of accepting the reduced gift card amount, the woman at the customer service desk refused and claimed there was nothing she could do. Thankfully, an African American gentleman who was also assisting at the time stepped in and kindly returned the dress to me.
After returning home, I called customer service again and was told I should have been able to get my dress back if I didn’t want the gift card, just as I had asked at the store.
It was very disappointing to receive such inconsistent information and unhelpful service. Customer service representatives should be properly trained on store policies and how to treat customers with respect. Experiences like this are frustrating and leave a...
Read moreThis is a reflection of customer service at this location specifically. I usually shop Target for toiletries and stop in after I do my Costco run. The store was as empty as could be. No one was in there. I was looking for a specific product but all the employees were talking amongst themselves, completely ignoring customers. The same thing happened at the register. No sense of urgency, the slowest check out process I have ever experienced at Target for the store being completely dead and that was because employees were just talking to one another and gossiping. Despite me being patient and then congenial when I finally was being checked out the cashier did not respond or even say hello. Really odd and unexpected at Target. Target use to be the herald of good customer service. Now it's just terrible at this specific location. I know Target has seen declining sales for 6+ months in a row. The poor customer service definitely is not helping its image. My worst experience at Target ever in terms of...
