They were not friendly. The barely said any words to me thought the entire transaction. I'm not sure if it was because I was African American or if they were tired. Either way, I didn't feel welcomed. Let me recount verbatim my interaction and you can decide for yourself. I was accompanied by my 5 year old and my 7 year old children. I enter with a friendly smile: Me (smiling): "Hellooo". Cashier: "Yes" (straight-faced). Me: "I'm here to pick up an order." Cashier: "What did you order." Me: "Umm, a medium pizza and fries." A man behind the counter places the order on the table. Silence ensues. Cashier: "Your total is $15.xx." I pay and take the pizza. The end. We go to our car and eat. We actually had to run back in and get paper places because my kids needed plates. I dreaded returning. If someone brings their family to order from your restaurant (especially during these times), a worker should at the very least great their customer. Besides the cashier there were 3 men behind the counter. That makes 4 people total behind the counter. Not 1 cracked a smile, greeted me or even said 1 word to me. It felt as I said above, unwelcoming and awkward. We were all standing there in awkward silence for the 2 minutes to took me to retrieve my order and pay. I will never return to this place. I called my sister because she also orders from there and she says they are super friendly. But she runs a local business and knows the wife (owner), husband (owner), and their son. Of course they will be friendly. But what about the random person that walks in that they don't know. I do believe if I were someone else of a different race things would have been different. It just felt that way. Fast forward to this afternoon. My children asked for Pizza so we drove over to the Midtown location. They were sooo nice, so friendly. Example, there was an elderly African American man sitting there. He wasn't the best dressed but he was quiet and to himself. Anyhow, they gave him his pizza and said "Sir....your food is ready." as they served him at his table, people came in and everyone got the same treatment. One of the men behind asked my seven year old "Is the pizza good?". She was mid-bite so she nodded "umm-hmm." Now THATS how you treat your customers. I witnessed respect, gratefulness, friendliness and decency. That's the type of place I want to give my money too. We are successful business owners from Miami, Florida and Harrisburg serves as a second residence for us. When I went into Two Brothers, it was on a Sunday afternoon. I was tired and threw on whatever clothes I could find. I wanted delivery; my kids wanted Two Brothers. So we threw on clothes and went in. Our kids are attending a school that prompted the move to the area. I do a lot of volunteer work with the school and we many times (as all schools do) have pizza parties and other fun days where we order pizza. I will NEVER order from Two Brothers Pizza (Jonestown Road). I have been letting others know of my experience as well. Every chance I get, I will voice my experience. I know this is a long read but hopefully the owners read this and realize that you don't get to cherry-pick "who" or "what group" you provide basic-level customer service. To my fellow African-Americans. Walk in and be aware, see for yourself and let me know your experience. I hope it was...
Read moreIf you’re anywhere near Harrisburg and haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out on a slice of Italy itself. These folks are true Italians through and through — you can taste the love and pride in every bite. From the moment we walked in, they treated my family like we were part of theirs. The service wasn’t just good; it was genuine, warm, and downright old-school in the best way.
Now, the pizza. Their homemade sauce? Absolute perfection — easily the best we’ve had since our trip to Italy. It’s rich, fresh, and clearly made with the kind of care you can’t fake. The crust hits that magic balance: light, crispy, and chewy. My oldest, who’s never really been into pizza (still not sure how that’s genetically possible), couldn’t stop talking about how good their pie was. That alone says it all.
Bottom line: this isn’t just pizza — it’s craftsmanship. A...
Read moreFirst time visiting since I was in the area and these guys provided exceptional service. Tried their steak boli, pizza sandwich, and a slice of meat lovers pizza. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. I really enjoyed the sandwich, it was different for me but the dough was lightly toasted and everything they included in the sandwich worked well together. When paying for everything I was completely shocked, their prices are literally before COVID low, which is extremely rare today as almost all restaurants have raised prices or have just gotten ridiculous. I asked the gentleman how come they kept their prices so low compared to everywhere else and he simply explained they care about community they serve and they make enough so no need to charge more just because. Support these guys,...
